The Home Depot offers most finishings you'll need to complete your personal space such as doors, windows, electrical, plumbing and finishes.

Be 54k or more time you are done.

Kind of cool, you could buy 2 shipping containers for about $6,000 and have 800 sq ft plus 800 sq ft deck on roof.

Everything is so ridiculously priced, but used fifth wheels can be had for cheap yet

That's what I did for my homeless brother, I bought a used (repo) 25' travel trailer with a slide-out, and put it under a metal RV port. It makes for a really nice studio apartment, completely self contained. I paid $6250 for the trailer, and about $2000 for the RV port, which gives the trailer nice shade, keeps it dry, and I have grape vines growing up around it for summer shade, and table fruit. I put a composting toilet in it so I didn't have to hook it up to my septic system. The composting toilet is an expensive European model. I also put meters on the water and electrical line, so I know the exact gallons and kWh being used.

When my brother lived on my property (Oregon) he was disabled, and collected SSI. He's now living in a group home in Florida.

The trailer is sitting empty now, but in perfect condition, being it's under the RV port. It's also in a beautiful location with a view of the mountains.

Maybe someday I will rent it out, but I don't really want to deal with a renter right now.

Yep. Outdoors is what it's all about. I'm pretty lucky right now. I'm surrounded by woods an such. Have a creek and ponds down the way. Finally got the living arrangements down so doors are open air flow etc when I am inside. Hf

I lived in a studio since 2007. This is about the first time since then I have more space and more outdoors at my fingertips and not city asphalt ..

Thanks. hf

My family has always looked out for each other.

I also took care of my dying parents, and was present at both of their deaths.

I've been a landlord once, and it wasn't easy.

I figure if the world goes to shit, I can put someone in the trailer in trade for their labor.

Kind of cool, you could buy 2 shipping containers for about $6,000 and have 800 sq ft plus 800 sq ft deck on roof.

Everything is so ridiculously priced, but used fifth wheels can be had for cheap yet

That is a ripoff. I bought 12 800sf prefab homes for 9k each and put them on one of my large city lots in southern California with county approval due to the housing shortage. I am getting 2600 a month for each unit.
