Quoting: Anonymous Coward 80777456 Everything is so ridiculously priced, but used fifth wheels can be had for cheap yet That's what I did for my homeless brother, I bought a used (repo) 25' travel trailer with a slide-out, and put it under a metal RV port. It makes for a really nice studio apartment, completely self contained. I paid $6250 for the trailer, and about $2000 for the RV port, which gives the trailer nice shade, keeps it dry, and I have grape vines growing up around it for summer shade, and table fruit. I put a composting toilet in it so I didn't have to hook it up to my septic system. The composting toilet is an expensive European model. I also put meters on the water and electrical line, so I know the exact gallons and kWh being used. |

Finally got the living arrangements down so doors are open air flow etc when I am inside. ![]() I lived in a studio since 2007.
