never bought that argument. these extra "jobs" are still people who demand schools, police, fire, roads, etc. not sure the marginal addition of their tax revenue can front all new infrastructure. it's why these stadium deals are now all getting rejected too, it's mostly a LIE

For more than 35 years there's been lots of talk re developing Vegas to be a 2nd Hollywood like what exists in Canada. Even Mexico had an imitation Hollywood set up.

Tax credits do enourage film productions to consider Vegas. The savings comes back to the state because the film crew & cast want to greatly enjoy their working vacation. To say nothing of the huge expenditure to make a movie.
