Lady Gaga teams up with Pfizer
‘Lady Gaga recently opened up to Pfizer about how migraines have affected her life.

“My experience with migraines was debilitating. I would be in bed for days with tremendous pain in my head, behind my eyes, and all throughout my face,” she says. “I couldn’t read or have any lights on, and I needed to be alone in a quiet room for hours that could lead to days until the pain subsided.”

There is, as yet, no cure, but scientists, including those at Pfizer, are working to better understand migraine and are continuing to develop new treatments. And in the last few years, Lady Gaga has found reason to be optimistic.

“I hope that by sharing my story, it will help more people with migraine find the relief they need.”

And wtf is she telling Pfizer for?

I see a future ‘Pfizer Partner’ on the horizon, if she’s not one already.

She just needs that one more booster to get her normal again. At least that’s what the TV said.

She is doing this for money:

Lady Gaga has drawn a mixed response online after teaming up with the pharmaceutical giant Pfizer to promote a migraine drug.

The singer, 37, posted an Instagram photo of herself performing live with the branding for the drug, Nurtec, overlaid on the image.

The post included two slides with safety information about the drug which is the top prescribed migraine medicine in its class in the U.S., according to Nick Lagunowich, the global president of Pfizer Emerging Markets.

Lady Gaga wrote that the post was a paid advertisement for the drug and shared in the caption that she wished she'd "found [the drug] sooner."

Two big tablespoons of honey, will stop a migraine. But you have to take it right away when the zig zags aura start. It works

Yup. My wife had migraines for five years, at least twice a week, until she did the Carnivore Diet. Not a single migraine for the last four years. We ultimately discovered it was just bread that was causing the problem, incidentally.

Father-in-law, migraines for years. Doctor finally gave him a very effective parasite medication and they went away.

He shouldn't have gone swimming in that swimming hole that had a reputation for having parasites on that trip to New Zealand. Six years later, he's now free of the parasites that were causing his migraines.

Triggers loaded in foods and products and other key offenders:

Fake sugars like sucralose and high fructose corn syrup

Garlic

Fluorescent lights

Important to identify the triggers then avoid at all costs. For performers, many times stage lights are going to be a problem to trigger migraine.

No cure? Baloney.

Look at diet, hormones, look at Excitotoxins like artificial sweeteners, look at stress.

Another celebrity sell-out pimping drugs that she herself has invested heavily in.

Inflammation and excitotoxicity: role in migraine pathogenesis

The pathogenesis of migraine is still unclear, but much evidence suggests a role of inflammation in pain generation. Calcitonin gene related peptide, nitric oxide and cytokines are all molecules shown to be involved both in animal and human studies. The glutamatergic system is also described as a possible mechanism leading to neuronal hyperexcitability and cortical spreading depression (CSD). Excitotoxic neural death, due to excessive release of the amino acid in the extracellular space, may represent a consequence of protracted CSD and oligaemia and may be involved in migrainous infarction and aspecific lesions seen on T2-weighted NMR imaging.
