I don't. I always wanted to..because I thought good citizens did. And I wanted to be a good citizen. I've given twice. I was told thanks, but don't come back, you don't weigh enough. Its dangerous for slender people.

You’re a little late. In the 90s, my mom had a friend with cancer and they needed plasma donations. I used to go monthly. They offered to pay, but I wanted my donations to go to one specific patient, not the pool. This has been happening for decades.

I barely meet the threshold for weight -- I weigh right at 110 pounds.

Donated once, and was sick, and weak, for 3 days. Never again. Craved cranberry juice like crazy; have no idea what that was about.

From that article they are getting plasma from illegals from Mexico. A US Federal Court in 2022 told the boarder not to stop an illegal from giving blood donations in those businesses, from what I understand it for rejuvenation which makes you feel younger. The plasma does make older people feel younger, at least it did from what I read.

PLRF has to be processed immediately from the patient so I am not certain how they would process it for dental because I know that industry. Lots of blood products are needed for cancer patients so I wonder if they are doing more transfusions in an effort to handle the clotting mechanisms happening or because these turbo cancers are a crisis and aggressive chemo can cause issues with blood cells. And these centers do NOT require vaccination to donate. They said the computer will ask that question though. Also, if they are anticipating war, they will need blood products.

It makes people feel great, as long as their bone marrow is functioning properly and the person is no diabetic. Taking that much blood decreases iron (most westerners are high in iron) and forces the bone marrow to throw out more new cells. The newer cells carry more oxygen so, if one feels better with blood donation, they may have high iron or need more oxygen.

When I was in college, the blood mobile would come around ever so often.
