CHROMOSOMES: Human 46 , Closest Primates 48
Apes and humans differ by one chromosome pair with humans having one less pair. Most scientists that study this subject favor humans fusing of two pairs to reduce the number and there seems to be evidence for this in chromosome 2. Some scientists favor the fission theory where apes got an extra pair from fission of one of their chromosomes...but I don't know of the evidence for this. By the way, primates closest to humans have 48 pairs while others like monkeys differ substantially...We are talking about Humans and their "closest relatives on Earth" if you will.

You can see it if you can find a picture of the chromosomes (called a karyotype) of a chimpanzee and a human and put
them side by side. It is assumed that in humans two chromosomes fused to produce a total of 46, because most gorillas also have 48. It makes more sense that the event happened in humans than that the event happened independently in the same spot at random in chimps and gorillas. WHen you look at a karyotype you note not only the number of chromosomes, but depending on how they were stained, you can see the pattern of bands (light and dark areas) on the chromosomes. When you take the two hromosomes that chimps and gorillas have, and put them end to end beside chromosome number 2 of humans, the banding pattern is almost identical. Click on this link to see a diagram of this:
 [link to www.indiana.edu]

What you are looking at is a diagram of chromosomes 1-4 with the human chromosome on the left and the chimpanzee chromosome on the right. Note that for chromosome 2, humans have one long one, but the chimp has two short ones there. This also shows only one of each chromosome for each species, so when you add the other set, that gives humans 46 and chimps 48.

I believe during the upcoming 2012 galactic center event, we're going to get another pair of chromosomes, which brings us from 11 pair (gender genes excluded) to 12 pair, which is more harmonically correct.

Well to that I ask... is this event a momment like a day.. or a general period where we are exposed and change over years and decades?

The change has been going on for a lot of people beginning the year 2000, and will continue until 2012.

Maybe Indigo kids are being born with more complete strands of DNA, maybe there is some sort of mutation happening? What do you think?

So what's the end game? Some sort of "evolution".

I say there are exterior forces at play here... what say you?

So Im going to assume by this study that chromosomes have absolutly nothing to do with the ability (or option) of thinking inteligently.

The number of chromosomes does not determine humanness. Hares have 46 chromosomes as well. Question: what DOES determine humanness?

Re: CHROMOSOMES: Human 46 , Closest Primates 48
Recently it has been discovered that these can be turned off and on. People with Down's Syndrome or parents with children with Down's are thinking this is a "cure". I don't know what it would do to a person. I think once a person is of a certain age, their capacity to learn new information would be jepordized. It would be interesting to see if by simply switching off a chromazone, a person could gain intelligence. However, if these can be turned off and own, it could be weaponized.

I can't imagine what it would be like for a person with limited intelligence to suddenly awaken. Also it would be scary if people were turned off as well, leading to something like a Zombie.

So your dad and your mom ... and so your body is basically made of
23 chromosomes from your dad and 23 from your mom.
2x23. Got that ? Ok. Now look at this:

and the man saith,
'This is the proper step!
bone of my bone,
and flesh of my flesh!'
for this it is called Woman,

Not to sound rude, but who cares?

Apes do not realize that they are naked.

Apes do not 'build' anything at all.

Typically all creatures exhibit forms of social and societal development or 'group' patterns. Even organisms related to disease and parasites.

On a DNA level, we share many similarities to fruit flies;

Genetically speaking, people and fruit flies are surprisingly alike, explains biologist Sharmila Bhattacharya of NASA's Ames Research Center. "About 61% of known human disease genes have a recognizable match in the genetic code of fruit flies, and 50% of fly protein sequences have mammalian analogues."
 Quoting: [link to science1.nasa.gov]

So... IDK this monkey business is for the birds, chuckle
