Ours have been crap the past few years. Although we report bad areas using "get it done" app (San Diego) "see click fix" app (La Mesa) and for freeways CalTrans has their own also.

You can see the progress on your report also. Things do get taken care of pretty fast.

I don't think many go out of their way to report things, so they stay bad.

Maybe check your local public works page for apps like these in your area.

In Oregon, the rural roads and sidestreets are often badly potholed and in disrepair. I was in Arizona in April, had a blowout due to potholes on a major highway.
