I had one living in my back yard, and yeah they like it under porches for shelter but usually have a burrow off a ways. Had two babies last year. Cuties. Haven't seen a peep of them this year. My advice: leave'em be. |

Anything to make it less attractive.I don't have a dog anymore and that seems to be an invitation to move in. Quoting: W/O Hurting him? 256229How is he affecting your life, op? Is he harming you? I'm just asking because I don't know. If he's not hurting you or your kids, what's the problem? |

My advice: leave'em be. ... I for sure agree, leave 'em be... however, lol, if ya really can't handle that one, and for whatever reason... that ol' Fox piss will work really well too. Or, ya might try a simple smoke bomb, or maybe just toss some moth balls under your porch. Gooder luck. |

Treat the groundhog with 'respect' and ask Hillary or O'Bama to intercede for you, to pay off the groundhog, so it will leave happy, in exchange for its vote next election. |

After you catch him drive him a few miles away and let him loose. may take a few days, but I have cought many this way. you can get the trap at home depot or Lowes |

They are very territorial and live in burrows. Being "dropped off" in another territory with no shelter is a death warrant. But that probably doesn't mean much to you, you just rid of the vermin without having to feel bad. Better to just put the trap by the tailpipe of a vehicle and drape a tarp or plastic over it to contain the fumes, "relocating" burrowing animals is inhumane and will cause cause a slow and lingering death. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 390431 United States 05/12/2008 08:36 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Fox piss... you can get it in the hunting section of the sporting good store... The fox is a natural predator of the ground hog, he will just leave... Quoting: Anonymous Coward 422790And where does one find fox piss, zorra? hunting store or farmer's store/co-op Agway etc. p.s. I'd just leave it alone - you'd have to piss it off to have it do anything to you. they're vegetarians. Just don't leave your garbage out. |

So let me guess you would do nothing and let the animal totally destroy your yard? Its a damn animal it knows how to survive. Im sure they don't stay in one area their whole life and probally move around. I see ground hogs all the time where i live, they have holes along the road and pop their heads out and watch the traffic go by usually while munching away at something. I would say if it wasnt by your house and in the yard i would leave it alone. They usually don't attack people unless messed with like most animals. |

Drink a gallon of water and three or four beers. Piss in his hole (or if you are shy in an old ice cream pail and pour in hole). Problem solved and you didn't spend that much money to fix the problem. |

Am I missing something? Why not just let the poor thing be? We've already taken up it's home. I DON'T FUCKING GET IT!!!!!!!!!!!! I've got a zillion lizards on AND below my porch. I'm not out to kill them. I know a groundhog is not a lizard but I'll bet you 50 bucks neither one of them wants to do harm to people. |
