Trent Reznor is nothing special from no one special. He just had a niche for a while...like Rob Zombie. Zombie had a niche sound too, but went into films instead. Again...brilliant horror films but nothing truly special. Take the Munsters for instance...it was dog shit and it didn’t need to be. He’s just not very good at anything unless it’s horrible.

What I find most telling is that knowing Trents history, goals and psychological profile...Disney works with him.

You do know that's an entire industry, right? All kinds of artists are hired (both secretly and not-so-secretly) to consult or be creative directors on all different types of projects. It's called BEING AN ARTIST.

Yes, artists you hate end up helping create the crap you all buy anyway, in so many different retail sectors, it cracks me up.

I can't of another complete reversal of styles like what Reznor did. Going from his original persona of hardcore industrial metal band leader to co-writing a Disney movie theme. That's basically the opposite of the spectrum in the music industry. Can you think of anyone else who did something like that?
