Personally, I'm a fan of the John Le-Carre novels, which were set in and around the Cold War period.

Good. The day my texts and messages get instantly rejected by an AI and I can't say anything I want to say anymore, I will just unplug and shut it all out. I will actually suddenly have more money; like a windfall. Don't have to spend anymore on internet service or corporate owned computers to buy. I will just be forced right out of the system.

In the end they need us using their system more than we really need to use their system. And frankly the internet has long since lost it's luster. It's a shitbox compared to what it once was.

They have had this for years, I remember getting an intercepted Message on MSN Messenger back in the day when everyone used that prior to Skype, etc.

It said "FORBIDDEN MESSAGE, You cannot talk about this or something along those lines, to this person".

It was like a systematic message not from the person I was talking to but in the same window, I think it was a glitch or a purpose AI making an exposure to me of what was available in the Early 2000's.

People of the UK, you need to start throwing proponents of these kind of tyranny into the Thames!
