comment on ´Police Apologize for Arrest: 10 year old school girl hancuffed, arrested for having a pair of scissors´

These enactments are allowed under war footing in US history and has occured many times in the past, however it is also a sign of totalitarinism, soon the States will be as were certain eastern/and european nations in the sense of control mechanisms and law and order implementations, whilst other once repressive regimes are liberalizing. What is this ? and why?
Is it not because the majority of people want it so(with or without brainwashing) many will sacrifice freedom and percieved freedom in exchange for percieved security and strong leadership. IMO
