What has your experience been like? Did they work for you at keeping away indoor and outdoor insects ? A lot of mixed reviews about these online.

The fly population is really bad here where I live and I need something to help manage it.

Re: Do those ultrasonic pest repellers really work on bugs?
I happened to find a PIC brand bug trap at goodwill for $7 , retails for approx $55.

I know for certain it traps moths, and im seeing a drastic reduction in fruit flys , by having it run outside 8 feet from my kitchen door, night and day.
Ususally, ive got 10 fruit flies around, and more in the trash, but now im seeing one or two.

Not sure about mosquitoes yet, but i think its a winner in the way its designed and operates.

It has a black light. (Black light, blue, green are said to attract mosquitoes most)
Has a quiet fan that sucks the bugs down into a mesh bowl where they are trapped.

Ive got a few spiders making nests around it, and a couple other predator bugs hanging out, so i know its a popular place.

Im thinking about making a minarature type with a 4 inch computer fan in a pvc pipe with a fine net to catch them in the bottom.
Put a piece of fruit at the entrance.

I will tell you that thermacell really does work. I use one in bowseason because it’s still hot in Texas and the mosquitos are still really bad in October. One canister will last a few hours. You don’t have to keep it on either, you can cycle the power to extend the use for one canister.
Defiant. Triumphant.

They put those up at my work on the outside to keep the birds away, they worked for awhile but then the birds came back, I don't know if batteries are bad or if they just got used to them.
