A tickborne illness that causes an allergy to red meat is believed to have affected nearly half a million Americans, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Symptoms generally first appear three to eight hours symptoms after ingesting animal meat, a much longer period than the time frame associated with reactions from food allergies.

Symptoms of AGS include:

Nausea or vomiting
Diarrhea
Stomach cramps
Shortness of breath (with anaphylaxis in some cases)
Severe whole-body itching
Hives or rash

Alpha-gal Syndrome can be life-threatening, the CDC says.

Tick-born Alpha-gal allergy prompts symposium

While not everyone who is bitten by the Lone Star tick will develop alpha-gal, those who do can also be bewildered by the wide range of symptoms and their delayed appearance

A government report released Thursday estimated that over 100,000 people have become allergic to red meat since 2010 due to tick bites.

A second report puts that figure even higher – at 450,000.

That would make it the 10th most common food allergy in the United States, said Dr Scott Commins, a University of North Carolina researcher who co-authored both papers published by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Dr Erin McGintee, who practices on Long Island, told NBC News she’s seen around 900 people with the syndrome.

“Out here in the Hamptons, most people know at least one other person who has the syndrome,” she added.

“It does seem like it’s really growing,” Commins told the outlet.

Patients bewildered

Health officials said they are not aware of any confirmed deaths, but people with the allergy have described it as bewildering and terrifying.

“I never connected it with any food because it was hours after eating,” said one patient, Bernadine Heller-Greenman.

This happened to a friend of mine. His pancreas got super inflamed where he started pooping out undigested food. Turns out, they tell him it's from a tick bite and is now allergic to red meat. He told me he got 1 Johnson and Johnson covid shots, possibly 2. Another friend of mine got same shots and now is blaming raging connective tissue disease on the covid shots.

How curious that this is happening at the exact same time as the NWO's aggressively pushing bug-eating for protein.

I'm sure it's just a coincidence.

I had this disease a few years ago. Symptoms started by being freezing cold at night then hot in the mornings. Hated meat. I started having lots of chills where I would just shake ibuprofen would help for a few hours.

Finally it got so bad I went to the hospital and they admitted me. The next morning I was still shaking but my fever had broken for a few minutes and they took my temperature and it was normal so they discharge me I gave a bad review for the hospital that was read 1000 times I went back to my doctor that had referred me, and he said go back to the hospital, so I went and found a different doctor and they tested for almost everything. They didn’t think it was a tech because I didn’t have that red circle but that only happens in about half of the folks that get it.

Finally, my doctor gave me a double dose of Z-Pak, and that actually got rid of it. It did take a few months before I started liking meat again.

Wasn’t wasn’t fun.

Meet the Newest Allergy Epidemic: Meat
October 24, 2022

[link to azabbg.bbyo.org (secure)]

Alpha-gal was first observed in the 1990s but wasn’t reported until much later. Compared to other allergies, it’s still relatively new. In 2006, oncologists at the University of Virginia were bewildered by the fact that almost one in four patients had an anaphylactic reaction to a new cancer drug called cetuximab. Thomas Platts-Mills, an allergist at UVA, agreed to help solve the medical mystery.

Afraid to Eat…
Posted on October 3, 2016 by Jhenna

Apparently, less that 2% of alpha gal allergy folks have a type of the allergy where it gets more and more severe as time goes on for no known reason. These folks have severe joint issues and pain as well as an overactive immune system for things unrelated to histamines. Great, just great. New research on this subset of the alpha gal allergy community has just begun in Virginia and my doc submitted my case to be included. My regular million (I may exaggerate… remember I don’t like needles) tubes of blood were taken today as well as an additional BAG of blood to be sent off to the alpha gal experts in Virginia.

Oh, and wondering what caused my reaction a few months ago? Well, the doc says it was too much dairy. The blood tests will reveal the specifics and severity but as of today I am to cut all mammal dairy from my diet. For real? SERIOUSLY? Those words escaped my mouth as I sat there in that little exam room watching my doc’s fingers fly across his keyboard.

He stopped, looked me straight in the eye and said, “Do you have cancer?”

Bewildered, I stammered “Well… no.”
