He said this plane is in such bad condition it should have never left the ground. We had a discussion about the accident this last hour. This is all because of sanctions. No spare parts. The flight deck crew averted all dead passengers by landing the plane in that field. Many Kudos to them. ![]() Last Edited by Concorde Warrior F-BVFA on 09/12/2023 05:29 AM I came. I saw. I Concorde. Lucky people... Things don't go in Russia the same as they go in the USSA. There is unity and support in everything. The pilots will not go to jail. They will be heeded as heros saving all the people's lives on board and they will be rewarded. The army will come with cranes and proper equipment. They will help removing the plane. This only happened because of sanctions. Our governments are guilty. ![]() I came. I saw. I Concorde. Sadly the pilots of the Ural Airlines flight had not enough time to land there. How they landed the aircraft in the wheat field is a true miracle saving 159 lives on board; Russia is not the West. All the means will be put in place to get the plane out. As for Russian Airbus aircraft condition, we only have to blame ourselves for all the sanctions imposed on Russian civilian aviation. I have seen brand new, factory tested, state of the art Airbus planes ready for delivery that remained on the ground, which later were sold to other airlines. ![]() I came. I saw. I Concorde. Almost exactly four years on, another plane from the same airline has made a similarly astonishing and safe landing. Here’s what we know about it. An Ural Airlines Airbus A320 flying from Sochi to Omsk made an emergency landing in a wheat field about 180 km from the Siberian city of Novosibirsk on Tuesday morning after suffering a hydraulic failure. Ambulances and fire service crews and an Ministry of Emergency Situations helicopter were immediately dispatched to the area where the plane landed, preparing for the worst. But thanks to the professionalism of the plane’s pilots and crew, all 159 passengers and 6 crew members emerged from the accident almost completely unscathed, with one person seeking medical attention related to an increase in blood pressure, another suffering an asthma attack, and two others sustaining bruises. -50% read more + pictures [link to sputnikglobe.com (secure)] Flight commander Sergey Belov is a 32-year-old career pilot, born in Tbilisi in 1990 and coming from a family of aviators. It looks like the pilot made an emergency landing in a field. But, it's good that everyone is okay and they can fix the problem with the plane and it will very likely fly again. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77478586 Depends on what they have to fix. Due to sanctions, Russia has difficulty in obtaining parts for Boeing and Airbus aircraft. Airbus halts Russia parts, studying engineering centre options 2 March 2022 Airbus said...it had stopped sending spare parts to Russia and supporting Russian airlines, but was analysing whether its Moscow engineering centre could keep providing services to local customers under Western sanctions. "Airbus has suspended support services to Russian airlines, as well as the supply of spare parts to the country," a spokesperson said in an emailed statement. "The Airbus Engineering Centre in Russia (ECAR) has put on hold all its operations for Airbus in line with sanctions," the statement said. Multiple inspections conducted by Rostransnadzor, a Transportation Ministry agency, discovered that a minimum of 2,000 flights had operated with components that had already exceeded their operational lifespan, El Pais reported.
