Oregon removes reading and math requirements to support "People of Color"

So, in the future, forget crossing and bridge, flying in a plane, going to a doctor - nothing will be safe as the people are stupid - tells their is something about tv shows and movies that predict the future - thinking we are moving towards living in the Idioarcy movie.

Actually this was already done in the pandemic. Then continued for class of 2021, 2022, & 2023. Oregon has one of the highest dropout rates due to these exams. It was done for all students. By temporary dropping the mandatory testing for graduation the past 4 years, graduation rates went a tad bit higher for the State. Meaning more funding for education. So it’s a no brained that they made this permanent. Has absolutely nothing to do with race.

This policy serves the skool system to look good in the number of "graduates" but ultimately is a disservice to the students....the real world still require real education to succeed not feel good policies.....

Not in Oregon. Majority are white with the exceptions of Portland & Salem. Teachers unfortunately don’t teach like they use to and unfortunately the no child left behind tanked making it impossible for some to pass these standardized tests. So a good chunk of kids nowadays aren’t test takers as well due to learning disabilities or constantly being passed along.
