The night Big Bernard returned after being burned. Scary story from 1996

In 1995 Big Bernard was the bully of the truck stop off interstate 20.
Everyone was petrified of Bernard because Bernard was a big dude and he would beat people up for small reasons. Someone sat in the chair Bernard likes, and Bernard snatched him up and threw him into the wall.
Bernard intimidated many. I stood up to him one time but nothing happened.
My boy Jerry and I noticed Bernard hasn’t been to the truck stop for sometime.
He was missing. Someone told us that Bernard accidentally got burnt in his kitchen and he hasn’t been seen since.

This is where things get weird. My brother Dae and his friend like to tour abandoned buildings. One night they chose the abandoned diner about 3 miles from our main truck stop.
When the went in the dark cobweb infested diner they noticed a figure of a man sitting at a table eating what appeared to be a bowl of soup. As they shined their flashlight at the person, the man slowly lifted his head causing my brother and his friend to bolt.
They came to the truck stop the same night and described what they saw. They said they saw a large man with a burned face eating soup. They said it resembled Bernard.
When he said that the whole truck stop went silent.
My friends and I came up with a plan. The next day we rented a large van and decided to visit the abandoned diner that Dae and his friend seen Bernard.
It was a stormy night when we loaded the van to go. 8 of us went on the journey. 4 of us decided to go inside, while the other 4 stayed in the van.
As we went inside I was spooked. Jerry noticed a bowl a soup at one of the booths. The thing is THE SOUP WAS STILL STEAMING, so whoever left it there wasn’t far away. Suddenly we heard an airhorn go off outside. We didn’t know what it was, so we continued to walk around the diner. ALL OF A SUDDEN, a loud voice said “GET OUT”.
We bolted back to the van.
When we got into the van Jeff the driver, and the other. Three were pale as if they just saw a ghost. They said while we were inside a transport truck with its lights off rammed into the front of our van, then started turning on and off their headlights as it was ramming the van. It honked the air horn repeatedly and flashed headlights repeatedly.

I got out to see the van and sure enough the front in was damaged.
When I got into the van Jerry noticed a huge thing approaching us. We recognized it was a transport truck when it suddenly turned on their head lights before ramming into us.
Jeff hit reverse to try to get away but the truck was on us, finally Jeff was able to maneuver around him and get us to safety. The truck looked exalike Bernard’s truck. I glanced at the driver and he had a black hockey mask on, so I couldn’t definitively tell if it was Bernard.
Still to this day no one seen or heard from Bernard.
