Russia is NOT communist! The former Soviet Union was communist, and it also closed churches down. The soviets closed the churches, and murdered millions of Christians, just like Zelensky is doing to Christians in Ukraine as I type these words. There are two separate Ukrainian orthodox churches. One is still loyal to the patriarch of russia. Of course the churches that support the Russians are going to be closed down. Those ukrainians need to go to Ukrainian orthodox churches.

I also commend NRB members who are seeking to share the Good News in Russia,” Johnson said.

Kirill's mission was also to influence this council, which was infiltrated by the KGB in the 1970s and 80s.
