In my state those Religious Zealots did every trick they could think of to keep off the ballot an actual vote on Abortion, one that still bans it after 15/16 weeks but allows it before then. That issue is now on our fall ballot, much to the dismay of those Religious Zealots.

This is the state where the 12yo girl who was RAPED by someone they didn't even know was NOT ALLOWED to get an abortion even though it was less than a month after the Rape. To top it off our Attorney General at first DENIED any such Rape occurred, though the local police dept said it did and was reported IMMEDIATELY ... and then when it was pointed out that the PD said it had happened he then said that since she left the state for an abortion he was going to Criminally Charge the 12yo Girl and her Parents for her going out of state to get an abortion!! Taliban Style Enforcement of HIS Religious Beliefs which HE was DETERMINED TO IMPOSE ON EVERYONE ELSE!!

I personally am against abortion ... but I am also a Libertarian and strongly disagree with Religious People trying to IMPOSE THEIR RELIGION on others who do NOT subscribe to their religious beliefs. (note even mostly Catholic Ireland voted in FAVOR of abortion being allowed .. and the vote wasn't even close - over 60% as I recall voted to allow abortion)
