I was in a fairly large regional big box store in the Midwest today and ran across this sign in the middle of a giant empty section of shelves.

We all knew this was coming but why so early?

I frankly don't care, it's actually a larger problem than the chairwarmer-in-care it's something that is going to increase all the while we're being told that it's getting better.

Okay then, here's another data point to consider. On my way out of the store I went by a couple that was obviously having car trouble. I went and put my groceries in the car and walked back to see if I could. You know, because I can't be an ass all the time.

Turned out that the battery was dead. The husband told me the car was probably original to the car and it was a 2020. In the back of my mind I recalled stories on GLP that batteries were only lasting 2-3 years. Well, I jumpstarted the car and went on my merry way.

On my way home (a 15 mile drive) I saw four other breakdowns on the side of the road, all of whom had help or abandoned their vehicle to seek help.

We haven't even got anywhere near the cool temperatures to test our charging systems.

No one else is concerned that we're falling back into pandemic era supply issues without there being a pandemic yet?

I mentioned the vehicle breakdowns for two reasons. One, last time I saw that many at one time was during the pandemic. Presumably people were putting off repairs because of economic pressures.

Two, I have to wonder if there have been so many shortcuts taken in the production of what is in the supply chain that we're going to see more and more breakdowns?

All this cellular and wifi and HDTV RF emissions are doing something to batteries. I had boxes of AA and AAA batteries all go bad in 6 months. The only thing which could have affected these batteries had to be something unseen, like RF. So, I started storing them in RF shield boxes and that took care of the problem after ordering more batteries. I also keep them in the basement below ground now too.

Also, I've been concerned about batteries in general. I use a lot of 18650 batteries, in solar charged motion lights, ecigs, flashlights, more. This year I needed to replace many of these batteries and I'm finding it impossible now to find and buy legitimate capacity rated 18650 batteries. Ordered 16 batteries from 3 different sellers and only 4 from one seller tested true to their labeled and advertised rating. The others were half or less than the labeled capacity (i.e. 3200 mAh tested to be around 1600 mAh batteries).

Amazon is filled with misrepresented, overrated, fake, and counterfeit crap from China now. Thankfully I got full refunds.

This is far more Trumps fault for doing the lockdown that lasted for over a year.
