Aspiration has nothing to do with internal delivery other than confirming that it is not being injected into a vessel. That said, in my 30+years of giving injections, I have never once aspirated blood, meaning I never hit a vessel or seen it happen. It is purely a precaution. That said, one has to ask how that shit is getting distributed if not in the blood stream via injection. I suspect it is the hydrogel (luciferase) that is driving it into the cells.
