Daily Rosary Prayer
I'd like to try and get some people together to pray the rosary daily. If you don't pray the rosary, you still can join in and offer your prayer towards the cause we are praying for. If you know anyone else who prays the rosary(or even prays in any other way), feel free to invite them into the group.

First, I'd like to set up a certain time to pray(8:30 pm eastern time was what I was thinking, if anyone has a different preference let me know, and we will settle on that).Anyone who cannot pray at the selected time, can still feel free to pray any time during the day; However, please try to pray for the cause that we are focusing on.

I'd like to make the first proposal that we pray for the grace of a stronger faith in Jesus, God, and the Holy Spirit for ourselves, and all our brothers and sisters. I'd like to devote a Novena(9 days of rosary recitation) for this petition. After this, I was hoping that as a group, we could all decide on praying for other causes, anything from a loved one's health of a certain individual, to more worldly causes, such as virtues like patience, and love; world peace, and the end to abortion and world hunger. Hopefully, we can continue to pray our prayers daily at and around the time we have set, and toward the cause we have agreed to.

If anyone is interested, or would like to build upon, or remodel this method of prayer,drop me a line and let me know.

God Bless!

Very nice idea, OP.
I would like to, and I'm in your time zone. Hope I can keep up with it, but I will try.

More ideas:

Peace in the world, an end to all violence.

And end to all abuse of women, children, elderly, sick, vulnerable and animals

Equal rights and respect for all regardless of wealth, race, gender, age, disability, sexual orientation.

And end to environmental pollution and contaminated food, water

Ethical business practices with an end to exploitation of people, animals and the environment for profit

A return to true spirituality

Stengthening of families, love and commitment

Re: Daily Rosary Prayer
Nice to see a few people who are willing to start praying tonight. I would like to add on to our prayer of an increased faith, to include what the poster above put forth -- the hope that God will return soon to end all the problems of the world. This nine day Novena of the Rosary -- and other means of praying -- starts at 8:30 p.m. tonight for those who are interested.

Make sure to post if you prayed tonight so we can keep track of all our brothers and sisters who take part in this prayer, and continue to pray as one family for any cause/causes that a brother or sister puts forth after this nine day Novena.

Re: Daily Rosary Prayer
Saint Michael the Archangel promised that by the honoring of the Nine Choirs of Angels in this chaplet devotion, along with diligence in attaining holiness, souls would have the escort of one representative of each of the Nine Choirs when approaching the Holy Table, and in addition, for the daily recital joined to courage in seeking holiness, Saint Michael the Archangel promised continual assistance from all the angels, and deliverance from Purgatory for themselves and their families.
[link to www.marysprayersrosaries.com]

This chaplet is known by many names, including the Chaplet of St Michael, the Crown of Saint Michael and the Saint Michael Rosary.

HOW TO PRAY THE CHAPLET OF SAINT MICHAEL,
THE ARCHANGEL

Begin by meditation on the Medal:
Incline unto my aid, O God.
O Lord, make haste to help me.
Glory be to the Father, to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be,
world without end,
Amen.
Jump over the next 4 beads, and go to the centerpiece, which will act as the first large, or meditation bead.

Then recite, beginning on the centerpiece connector,
acting as the first large bead:

Meditation 1. By the intercession of St. Michael and the heavenly choir of the Seraphim, may it please God to make us worthy to receive into our hearts the fire of His perfect charity. Amen.

Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, Amen.
On the next 3 small beads pray:
3 Hail Marys...

On the large bead after the centerpiece connector pray:
Meditation 2. By the intercession of St. Michael and the heavenly choir of the Cherubim, may God in His good pleasure grant us grace to abandon the ways of sin, and follow the path of Christian perfection. Amen.
Our Father...
On the next 3 small beads pray:
3 Hail Marys...

Continue in this way around the circlet of beads, until you reach the last small bead, on which you will pray your last Hail Mary.

Meditation 3. By the intercession of St. Michael and the sacred choir of the Thrones, may it please God to infuse into our hearts the spirit of true and sincere humility. Amen.
Our Father...
3 Hail Marys...

Meditation 4. By the intercession of St. Michael and the heavenly choir of the Dominions, may it please God to grant us grace to have dominion over our senses, and to correct our depraved passions. Amen.
Our Father...
3 Hail Marys...

Meditation 5. By the intercession of St. Michael and the heavenly choir of the Powers, may God vouchsafe to keep our souls from the wiles and temptations of the devil. Amen.
Our Father...
3 Hail Marys...

Meditation 6. By the intercession of St. Michael and the admirable heavenly Virtues, may it please God to keep us from falling into temptation, and may He deliver us from evil. Amen.
Our Father...
3 Hail Marys...

Meditation 7. By the intercession of St. Michael and the heavenly choir of the Principalities, may it please God to fill our souls with the spirit of true and sincere obedience. Amen.
Our Father...
3 Hail Marys...

Meditation 8. By the intercession of St. Michael and the heavenly choir of the Archangels, may it please God to grant us the gift of perseverance in the Faith, and in all good works, that we may be thereby enabled to attain the glory of Paradise. Amen.
Our Father...
3 Hail Marys...

Meditation 9. By the intercession of St. Michael and the heavenly choir of the Angels, may God vouchsafe to grant us their guardianship through this mortal life, and after death a happy entrance into the everlasting glory of Heaven. Amen.
Our Father...
3 Hail Marys...

As you reach the end of the circlet, you will come to the centerpiece connector again. Here pray the Anthem:
O glorious prince, St. Michael, leader and commander of the heavenly host, guardian of the souls of men, conqueror of the rebel angels, steward of the palace of God, our worthy leader, endowed with holiness and power, deliver us from every evil. With full confidence we have recourse to you, that by your gracious protection we may be enabled to make progress every day in the faithful service of God.

On the first pendant bead pray:
Our Father...
On the next 3 beads of the pendant, pray:
3 Hail Marys...

On the medal of Saint Michael, pray:
Pray for us, most blessed Michael, Prince of the Church of Jesus Christ, that we may be made worthy of His promises.
Glory be to the Father and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end.
AMEN!

PRAYER TO ST. MICHAEL
FOR THE DEFENSE OF THE CHURCH
Composed by Pope Leo XIII

St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle;
be our safeguard against the wickedness and snares
of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray
and do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host
by the power of God, cast into hell
satan and all the evil spirits who prowl through the world
seeking the ruin of souls. Amen

HAIL HOLY QUEEN, mother of mercy; our life, our sweetness, and our hope. To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve. To thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this vale of tears. Turn, then, most gracious advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us. And after this, our exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus. O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary. Pray for us, O holy Mother of God, that we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ. Amen.

Re: Daily Rosary Prayer
Find a quiet place where you will not be interrupted while praying.

1. Begin by making the sign of the Cross, then recite the Apostles' Creed (some prefer to say the Nicene Creed) while meditating upon the crucifix.

I believe in God the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord Who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary
suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried. He decended into hell; the third day He arose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and sits at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty from thence He shall come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost, the Holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen

2. Then an Our Father ("The Lord's Prayer") while holding the first bead above the crucifix...

Our Father who art in heaven Hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread And forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, But deliver us from evil. Amen.

3. Now three Hail Mary's (considering the virtues of love, hope and faith) on each of the next three beads....

Hail Mary full of grace The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women And blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God Pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

4. Then pray a 'Glory Be....'

Glory to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning is now and will be forever. Amen.
5. Now begins the first meditation. Sometimes these are referred to as the "mysteries of the rosary" or the "rosary mysteries". Different meditations are traditionally prayed on different days. Select the appropriate meditation, below, and fix the story or image in your mind. When starting it is helpful to review the stories in the Bible or in a Scriptural Rosary book.

The joyful mysteries of the rosary -- prayed on Mondays and Saturdays (and Sundays during the Advent/Christmas season) -- can all be located in the first two chapters of the Gospel of Luke in the Bible. The joyful mysteries are:

* The angel's annunciation of Christ's coming
* Mary's visit to Elizabeth
* The birth of Christ
* Jesus' presentation in the temple as an infant, and
* Finding the boy Jesus in the temple.

The mysteries of light (also known as the luminous mysteries of the rosary), recommended in 2002 by Pope John Paul II and prayed on Thursdays, add five more meditations to the rosary related to Christ's life and teachings:

* Christ's baptism in the Jordan
* Christ's self-manifestation at the wedding at Cana
* Proclamation of the Kingdom of God and call to conversion
* Transfiguration, and
* The Last Supper and institution of the Eucharist.

The sorrowful mysteries of the rosary, prayed on Tuesdays and Fridays (and Sundays of Lent), can be found in the last chapters of the Gospels of Matthew, Mark and Luke. The mysteries are:

* Christ's agony in the garden
* His scourging
* His being crowned with thorns
* Christ carrying the cross, and
* His crucifixion and death.

The glorious mysteries of the rosary, prayed on Wednesdays and Sundays (except as noted, above), can be found in the last chapter of the Gospel of Luke, the second chapter of the Book of Acts, and Revelation 12. They are:

* Christ's resurrection
* His ascension into heaven
* The sending of the Holy Spirit
* Mary's assumption into heaven, and
* Mary's coronation in heaven.

6. While contemplating the meditation pray one Our Father, ten Hail Mary prayers

7. Then a Glory Be. Repeat the pattern

8. Announce the second mystery of mediation and repeat steps 6 and 7; Our Father, ten Hail Mary's, Glory Be, with each mystery.

When finished meditating upon the mysteries, most people conclude the rosary with the Hail Holy Queen prayer:

Hail, holy Queen, Mother of Mercy! our life, our sweetness, and our hope! To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve; to thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley, of tears. Turn, then, most gracious Advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us; and after this our exile show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus; O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary.

Believe what you want but Christ himself said the following and the Rosary stands diabolically opposed to what he taught and subsequently your prayers do as well.

~"But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking." -Matthew 6:7

Mary is dead and cannot hear you and had she not believed in Christ as the Messiah, and she did, she would have also perished...

Another thing you should know about is that while the Vatican may call her Mary, they truly worship Astarte and her son Tammuz and this was prophesied as the religion that would "appear as a lamb, yet speak as a dragon". Astarte mourned for 40 days after Tammuz/Horus (Offspring of Nimrod which is another name for Osirus/baal) was killed and she was a fertility goddess so at the end of the Forty days they have a celebration for her fertility aka Easter.

40 days of Lent followed by a celebration called Easter with bunnies and eggs... Open your eyes and come out of herpeace...

Then the angel that spoke with me went forth, and said unto me: 'Lift up now thine eyes, and see what is this that goeth forth.'
6
And I said: 'What is it?' And he said: 'This is the measure that goeth forth.' He said moreover: 'This is their eye in all the land--
7
and, behold, there was lifted up a round piece of lead--and this is a woman sitting in the midst of the measure.'
8
And he said: 'This is Wickedness.' And he cast her down into the midst of the measure, and he cast the weight of lead upon the mouth thereof.
