Finders Keepers? Would you seriously turn a few [low amount] dollar bills you found over to the police? <$100
Did you know that you are required by law to turn it over to the police? would you trust them to return it to you if nobody claims the $?

So you find $2 at the entrance of a laundromat and there is only two people there, what would you do knowing that if you say 'hey did anybody lose $2?' both of them would turn around and say yes; how would you get proof that it's them and not somebody who just left?

Say you find $50 outside the convenience store what would you do? knowing that the cashier is very likely to lie and say it's theirs, the people shopping/in line would do the same, and it could have fallen off the hands or wallet of somebody who has long left.

Then you're stuck with a $50 bill what would you do Finders Keepers or turn it over to the police? As per my title this is for low amounts only say under $100.

Bonus question whether you keep it or turn it over please indicate if you are wanting for money currently or if you're comfortable with it

I would definitely ask the people if it was theirs and place it on the counter if both said it was theirs and they could argue over the two dollars. If i found a wallet with any amount in it i would try to contact the owner. Sometimes a hundred is somebodys million as its all they have. If i found a hundred blowing in the wind and nobody around to which it could belong it would go in my pocket. Money doesnt make my world go around, somebody elses money definitely doesnt make my world go around. Two dollars or a thousand...it wasnt mine to begin with so no loss no gain if somebody claimed and i would feel better about it. So if two bucks makes your world go around then maybe you should examine whats wrong with you

I found about $200 cash outside of a bank once on a busy day, just picked it up nonchalantly and went on my way. I bought my mother a birthday present with part of it, then gave the rest to charity.

Wow bonghit subpeople have a real hard time here with english comprehension !

To the idiots above me: it is not $200! Title clearly specify this question is for less than $100 capisce? But way to be a retard and go out of your way to answer what was not asked in fact I was specifically specified it was not being asked since I wrote <$100 in the title and there is no wallet whatsoever involved please learn to read and follow directions, okay assholes?

FYI the point of this question is would you turn it over to the police? or are you the kind of imbecile who not only cannot follow instructions and answer 1 f****** simple question as posed, you're also the type of moron who trusts cops to not be corrupt to the core.

News flash whether it's two dollars $50 or $99 they will never contact you! So do you follow the law and give it to the police or would you say f*** them and keep it for yourself?

There is no law in the US that says this.
