3 looking at using the TECHNOLOGY, not the XRP token.

Using Ripple's technology on a PRIVATE network (i.e. RippleNET).

They can't use a token that's value can fluctuate 20%+ in one day.

That should be common sense.

XRP was only originally meant as a way for Ripple to fund it's development, that token was never intended to be used for commerce.

Here's a list of the banks/finance companies using Ripple's TECHNOLOGY (not the XRP token) on a PRIVATE network:

Gee… the CTO of Ripple has been clear about this. You have to use the coin for transfer. Therefore the coin value makes the system more efficient as the value goes up.

Read the white papers.

Yes, all financial institutions want the tech … which is the ledger portion. But the coin is going up too. Way up.

Clarity has happened…. Now it’s time for adoption or making it known which entities have already adopted the tech.

They need US regulations before they can use it everywhere
Partnered with over 300 banks
Lots of countries ready to go (Ex. United Kingdom, Japan)

this...just a matter of time until Ripple cuts that check aka settlement...then we'll start to see friction on the ledger as utility kicks in = high(er) xrp price.

Retail isn't going to get us "to the moon"...we're simply early investors, but the big boys are getting in or are already in (a lot of them behind heavy NDAs at the moment.)

Isn't Ripple a permissioned chain - i.e. they can shut you off any time?

Near enough, yes.

Which is exactly why central banks will use it. They won’t use decentralised, not yet anyway.

It’s the bankers coin. Doesn’t mean it won’t succeed.

If countries are going to trade more in their own currencies, they need an efficient conversion process. The price volatility doesn’t really matter if it’s fast enough, which it is.

you have no clue what you are talking about..neither is the aussie shill below you

the meaning of "permission or permissionless"..has nothing to do with "shutting you off anytime"

that actually makes no sense what so ever..so you can see the lengths that the aussie went to validate you

this has everything to do with validating transactions...if you want to run a validator node from home you don't have to ask...just do it

Well thanks for not answering my question.

Ripple Labs can accellerate or slow down the release (of XRP tokens) as needed

Yeah -- totally centralised. Might as well give up on this.
Any spike in price and Ripple Labs can squash it, or alternatively pump it.

On top of that there are the permission issues I still don't have a full grasp of, I admit, but the possibility exists that you will not be able to transact, right?
Forget it.

You really have no idea what you are talking about
Bitcoin , Ethereum are centralized, all transactions are visible & traceable, mining pools run the show.

Ripple has nodes all over the world & is decentralized

Every time a transaction occurs, a tiny piece of each x r p is burned, keeping it deflationary. There are 1 million drops in every x r p

The total supply was 100 billion & is already at 99 billion due to cook burn, this is a great thing unlike the federal reserve printing billions every week, devaluing the dollar

The xrp ledger will be the oil bringing liquidity to the new digital financial system, it can bridge any kind of value & needs to be currency agnostic, free from politics or middlemen

Can even do offline payments!
