Hun, yah got lots of drug abuse, homelessness, unemployment, and just utter despair that's caused by the militarization of our police, the constant surveillance state, the bureaucratic of living that is so far gone that many people simply can't afford to live. So people have no want nor desire to "do the right thing" when they see so much wrong in the World.

It’s not appropriate to physically confront a police officer; most rational people would agree. We are currently facing a severe epidemic of drug abuse and homelessness, issues that are deeply troubling. In the incident in question, the actions of the police officer were excessive. The individual who was shot was suffering from mental health issues and needed help, not to be subjected to lethal force.

Life should not be taken unless all other options have been thoroughly exhausted. In my opinion, the situation did not warrant such a lethal response. However, if a person is threatening a police officer with an object, then yes, self-defense becomes necessary. I am not fully aware of the specifics in this incident.

In my experience, I’ve often been able to de-escalate violent situations. There were times, however, driven by impulse, I wished harm upon others, like after being cut off in traffic. I used to react by taking photos of the offender’s license plate and researching them. I am no longer that person. It’s better to be a decent human being. Now, I practice forgiveness.
