Get this, Pentagon Chief of Staff had the Flu
Which was the reason why the White House was not informed of SECDEF Austin's hospitalization.

"The Pentagon has said the chief of staff, Kelly Magsamen, did not inform the White House because she had the flu."

Apparently Mr. Austin underwent a procedure 22 Dec 23 and had to be readmitted to Walter Reed on 1 Jan 24 because "he was in quite a bit of pain."

Mr. Austin is expected to make a full recovery.

Well, then everyone was just plain sick, so National Security had a momentary lapse, what can you do? 1dunno1
