The definitive rapture verse you might not have considered before
But first, do you think I care if you consciously choose to reject pre-trib rapture? I don't. I believed that too and no one but God could change my mind, and he did. Just reading some scripture today and it was apparent this verse 14 must imply a receiving up beforehand:

Revelation 17:12-14
And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast. These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast. These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.

Who are the called? Who are the chosen?

What benefit is believing the pre trib rapture? I think if one cares about Jesus and being their best by trying to live up to his standard there is no need to explain, as such people have experienced the evils of this world and do not want to exist through s time where there is going to be hell on earth practically.

We can also deduce that the chosen have not been raptured yet since Jesus still calls people and chooses them.

I've read this through several times now and I'm not seeing what you mean??

Are you saying that Jesus is bringing the called, chosen and faithful WITH HIM?

But then at the end you say no rapture yet because Jesus is still calling and choosing?

Seems contradictory, in my mind.

Can you elaborate?

I'll check back, got some errands to run.

The kingdom of God will be on earth.

Heaven is space

There is no mythical place.

‘Thy kingdom come, on Earth as it is in Heaven’

Heaven is not just space. It’s another dimension where there is life and living going on for the people who have died and gone to heaven.
Someday life on earth will be more similar to how it is in heaven.
On earth as it is in heaven.

You can try to "interpret" any verse to make it sound however you want.

Show me a verse or verse that specifically says Jesus returns twice, once in the "air", to Rapture the church and a second time to fight the AC.
You can't! They do not exist!

There is only one "return" of Jesus, found in Scripture. That is to rapture the church and in fighting the AC, both in the same return. Which is in the Middle to late Tribulation period.

Since Scripture does not support or mention the two returns of Jesus theory, it is wrong. Scripture only supports a singular return of Jesus.
Even reading Revelation; the series of events supports a singular return and not a duel return. It does not support a Pre Trib Rapture.

Now a Book written to explain to the Church, how the end times would play out, would be incomplete if it did not tell us about a Pre Trib Rapture. Unless there wasn't one![/b]

"called" occurs 624 times in 599 verses in the KJV.

Obviously an oft used word ... interesting little study.

It has a number of meanings, just as in the english.

I believe we are specifically referring to 'kletos' (Strong's G2822)

- called, invited
- invited (by God in the proclamation of the Gospel) to obtain eternal salvation in the kingdom through Christ
- called to (the discharge of) some office; divinely selected and appointed

Invited, in this sense:

"So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen." Matt 20:16

Divinely called to an office:

"Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God" Rom 1:1

General 'call' to become saints:

"To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints" Rom 1:7

"I have come to call not those who think they are righteous, but those who know they are sinners and need to repent.” Luke 5:32

While God calls all mankind to repent and believe the Gospel for salvation, the Word of God only refers to those who respond positively to this invitation as 'Called'.

"These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful." Rev 17:14

Hogwash. That proves nothing.

Revelation 20 clearly states there are only 2 End Times Resurrections. The First is after Satan is bound and locked up for 1000 years, which would be After the Tribulation and after Christ's Return, as shown in Matthew 24:29-31 and Revelation 11:15-18. This is ultimate proof that there isn't a Pre-Trib Rapture.

.

Thread: Revelation 20 - Rapture / First Resurrection Happens After Satan is Bound - KJV Bible Study

.

The Rapture happens AFTER the Resurrection (Revelation 11:18, 1 Corinthians 15:52 and 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17)

- which is is AFTER Jesus Returns (Revelation 11:15 and Matthew 24:31)

- which is AFTER The Last Trump (Revelation 11:15, 1 Corinthians 15:52, Matthew 24:31 and 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17)

- which is AFTER the Tribulation (Revelation 11:15 and Matthew 24:29)

.

3 periods of 42 months in Revelation - And when does this start?

Rev 11:2 But the court which is without the
temple leave out, and measure it not;
for it is given unto the Gentiles:
and the holy city shall they tread

under foot forty and two months.

The 2 witnesses and the Rev 13 "blasphemer" both run 42 months - most probably at the same time.

Rev 11:3 And I will give power unto my two
witnesses, and they shall prophesy a

thousand two hundred and threescore days,

clothed in sackcloth.

Rev 13:5 And there was given unto him a
mouth speaking great things and blasphemies;
and power was given unto him to

continue forty and two months.

....

Jesus returns at Revelation 11:15, and it's easy to deduce that the 42 months of 2 witnesses occurs before that.

...

Revelation 11 is the Two Witnesses.

Right after they are killed, Christ Returns in Revelation 11:15 at the Seventh / Last Trumpet.

The Resurrection is 2 verses later in Revelation 11:18, which would be followed by the Rapture of the Living.
