I quit coffee
Actually I quit all caffeine this month. I've been drinking caffeinated drinks since I was a kid, and I drink way too much. I thought I'd try living my life as an adult without caffeine to see what it's like. I decided to aim for 6 months. The first two weeks of withdrawal was awful: migraines, insomnia, exhaustion, brain fog. Physically I feel fine now, but still a bit foggy. My sleep has become very deep, vivid dreams, and I wake up alert.

So far I'm noticing I'm less irritable, I'm not snapping or overreacting. Side note: I'm a woman, we all know how annoying that is when ladies snap about nothing. We're brainwashed into accepting this drug into our daily lives, but too much messes with you. Not that I'm an anxious person but I've chilled out a lot. So many people taking medications these days for anxiety... try quitting stimulants.

One thing I noticed about caffeine is there's a sense of fake excitement. Without it, you have to find real meaning to what you choose to do, so that's what pulls you.

It's a tough pill to swallow that this drug was not a good friend...

Your Teeth will be brighter soon, get a whitening maybe too.

Your teeth will be healthier as Coffee is quite acidic.

There are a lot of non-caffeinated teas out there.

If your from Canada you should try the Bengal Spice Tee, De-Caf.

Don't blame me if you get addicted.

i was a tea drinker all my life, then a couple of years back i switched to fresh pressed coffee.. my teeth are now whiter than ever. tea is far worse than coffee and by weight has more caffeine too.

Oh yah I have yellowish teeth, it's not terrible but not as nice as it could be. I'm hoping to sort that out in the next few months.

My hair has also been going grey since I was 16, I'm hoping to see some improvement. I did find one hair that reversed last year, so I believe it's possible.

I quit coffee too, used dark chocolate, no withdrawl. I eventually added back in green tea matcha just because I seem less sluggish and wake up easier.

Yah that's the problem, I have an addictive personality. I'll say "oh yah just one cup in the morning... okay maybe one more... but I need something in the afternoon too... and finish the pot in between..."

Way overboard. And then what, you drink so much it doesn't even have an effect anymore...

I was real bloated when I quit coffee, a few weeks of core stretching helped. Coffee seems to not be good for your core, its like its fake good, your core seems fine, then you quit and your core reveals all the coffee wounds. Anyway that was my view.

I've been making cocoa in the mornings. Okay yes, I know there is a little bit of caffeine in it... but it was a nice way to trick myself into preferring it over coffee in the morning.

They say it's a diuretic but I drink 2 cups of coffee and I don't pee much.

Pretty much all I drink is coffee and beer.

Been pondering on doing the same thing myself.
Been finding lately that coffee bothers my throat, lots of needed spitting after a cup, I don’t care for that.

Re: I quit coffee
Quitting coffee I always used to try tea to replace, it didnt work, dark chocolate worked tho, but I eventually added back in green tea matcha because with that I wake up after 5 hours asleep wide awake. I also now have to eat fruits and vegetables instead of just plowing everything thru my guts with coffee.

That's interesting that you say that because coffee encouraged me to poop... and I had trouble "going" during withdrawal. I had abdominal pain last week and I noticed that my core was very tight. Stretching it seemed to help me relax and I feel okay now.

I just quit coffee too. I started taking CBD gummies before bed and I sleep very deep now, like when I was a kid. They also seem to help with back and neck tension.

Re: I quit coffee
It is an easy addiction to quit in my opinion. I have not had a cup of coffee for about 3 years. But yesterday, I went to my local hospital for yearly blood work and they had opened a little Starbucks near the lab. I sniffffffffed that coffee, went in, and am hooked again. I bought a coffee maker today and coffee. Warning: Do not go near a coffee shop.

You have that backwards- coffee has 3x the amount green tea does, espresso shots much more

Black tea is slightly higher in caffeine than green or white teas

Herbal tea has no caffeine

Re: I quit coffee
i recently experimented with some coffee changes myself i was at a point where i was drinking a couple pots a day and it wasnt doing much besides making me pee a shit ton.

i gave it up cold turkey for a few months. my heartburn went away, teeth got noticibly whiter.

now ive settled into 1 16 oz cup per day in the morning for the last couple months.
