Re: US AIR FORCE asking retired Pilots, Air Controllers, Nuclear Missile Operations, and other Special Duty Veterans to return to active duty
Most of you have probably seen the Military's recruiting goals are falling short month after month -

But just announcd, they are asking specifically for Battle Sapce Air Force Veterans to return to service. First on the List is Pilots, and then battle space controllers.

Everyone knows PILOT is the most sought after role in the Air Force. Very Exclusive. One role, they never have a problem lining up candidates

But the training is long and intense. You must have a 4 year degree to become an officer before you get anywhere close to flight school.

So why are they seeking Veteran Pilots to return? They mustn not have time to train new ones. Must be imminent action if you ask me.

I know a kid in the Air Force Academy right now.
The ultimate Chad, Eagle Scout with Honors, High School Football Team Captain, Homecoming King, 3rd in his class academically, licensed pilot on his 17th birthday, yada yada. Knew he wanted to be an Air Force Officer in the 4th Grade, and started working toward it then.

Definitely a future leadership candidate.

He is so disillusioned and done with the diversity Bullschit that he is looking for a way out, KNOWING that in three years with his resume, he will be sitting in a Captain’s chair at a Major Airline for $350k a year.

I did ten years as an Air Traffic Controller in the Air Force. Got in trouble for smoking weed and got bumped down to SrA before they kicked me out in 2018. Luckily, I got an honorable out of the deal so I got my degree afterward. It was going to shit back then, I can't imagine after the whole covid debacle.

I just had lunch with a friend who's husband is an ex Marine-I asked about veterans being asked to come back and they have not heard anything but did say there has been a bad recruitment issue made worse by losing a lot of people due to the covid shot so they may be trying to fill the gap maily from those who left due to covid?

While intelligence is needed, you do not need a 4 year brainwash to train intelligent people to be great combat pilots.

Intelligent and educated are not the same thing.
 Quoting: Xeven

you're right, but its an actual requirement. You cant get in line for flight school, let alone into flights school without a 4 year degree. it has to be on your resume.
 Quoting: Rufus Juice

The major airlines, in the interest of Diversity, decided that requiring pilots to have four year degrees, that show a willingness to follow structured learning, including things like, I don’t know, reading MAUALS, is no longer a condition of hiring.

How long until the military follows suit?

The Air Force put too many flying jobs, everything from fighters to Intelligence aircraft, to transports, into the Reserve Category under Clinton, as part of the “Peace Dividend” to save money.

People have been warning what would happen in the future since 1996., but were ignored.
Well, that future has arrived. You no longer need a military pathway to fly for a major airline. In fact, the military-type discipline regime for US Airline Pilots is all but gone now.

Now there is very little incentive for a pilot to fly in the USAF Reserve, due to increasingly longer deployments at low pay, while you lose seniority and money not flying for an airline job.

you have to put the processes in place for people to use before they use them.

1) Open Active Duty back up to veterans.
2) 9/11 type event
3) patriotism soars - Veterans pilots flood back wanting to bomb bad guy "x"

who is bad guy x this time?

Russia?
middle east/islam?
china?
others?

i dont think its china. they already own FJ Biden. No one is better at winning a war without firing a shot than china.

so???

This is a sign that Israel is losing their genocidal campaign against the Arab world. Return the American government to American control, and the military would overflow with enlistments. Announce a plan to invade and disarm Israel, and the whole country would try to join the military.

Many ducked after the jab mandate. They took vacation time or whatever and retired. The jab was VERY responsible for the weak numbers. Pilots especially with the clotting issues compounded by flying.

I’d tell them to pound sand too. This is the Obama/ think tank shadow government in charge of our military…

Go die for Israel if you think you're so tough.
