US fires "self-defense" attacks against more Houthi targets in Yemen
Beginning early Thursday Sanaa time, US Central Command forces "conducted seven self-defense strikes against four Houthi unmanned surface vessels (USV) and seven mobile anti-ship cruise missiles that were prepared to launch against ships in the Red Sea," CENTCOM said in a statement posted on X.

"CENTCOM identified these missiles and USVs in Houthi-controlled areas of Yemen and determined they presented an imminent threat to US Navy ships and merchant vessels in the region," it said.
The statement came after CENTCOM said that it had also conducted strikes late Wednesday.

The strikes "will protect freedom of navigation and make international waters safer and more secure for US Navy and merchant vessels," it said.

US Navy is failing miserably in their mission to protect ships.

They can't.

American military might across the world is crumbling.

Going to get worse because there actually is a limit to the debt the US can sustain.

SEC rule change on "basis trades" will be published in federal register soon. From there, a 1 year clock starts ticking on ending a huge liquidity pool for US treasuries. An obscure pin price that assures financial doom for those with USD.

The question was always when, not if. Now we have a rough answer on when.

I'm not going to pretend to know everything about it, but basically hedge funds make money off the spread. A guaranteed approx 10% a year. Spread is the difference between bid and ask price. They sell after 18 months and roll over and buy more, that is the constant liquidity chain.

But, doing that in the dark is going to end due to SEC new rule so that free money 10% and giant liquidity pool for UST will be going away.

I'm still working on trying to figure out how this timeliness will go. Will it crash at that 1 year mark? Or will it be another 18 months after that? Or before 1 year as the big players try to avoid being the last ones stuck holding the bag.

Anyway, point is that funding for Ukraine, Israel, red sea operations, etc... is just not going to be there. The money was not unlimited and the timeliness has now been set.

Interesting the SEC chose to do this now. It's not like they are doing it to protect US investors that's for sure.

And you sound like a "nothing will happen" guy.

Facts:
US Navy has not prevented commercial ships from getting hit so states mission is a fail so far.

US bases and outposts in the region are routinely getting struck by rockets and drones so US air defenses are inadequate.

If US can't protect it's bases in the conflict zone, it can't protect them anywhere else in the world.

And US air defenses based on US soil are even more pathetic.

That's just the facts whether you like them or not. I have survived many things because I objectively assessed the problem and dealt with the reality of it.

All they can do is drop bombs on defenceless targets. China and Russia would destroy them in a real war.

The Houthis can invest in anti-ship missiles but can't even bother spending money for SAMs and air defence? Or are AD missiles harder to make than ground-to-ground and Antiship missiles??
