Some simple ideas for peace in the Middle East

Is it an Israeli-Arab or Israeli-Palestinian conflict?
The founding conflict of 1948 is significantly referred to as the "War of Independence" by Israel, which won its right to exist as a state by force of arms. But it is just as significantly called the "Palestine War" by the Arab side, which breaks it down into two phases. Firstly, the war between Jews and Arabs in a Palestine under British mandate. Secondly, a war between the newly proclaimed State of Israel and five Arab states (Egypt, Transjordan, Syria, Lebanon and Iraq). The Nakba, the "catastrophe" of the exodus of over 750,000 Arab residents from Palestine, began in the first phase of this war and continued throughout the second. But this first Arab-Israeli conflict ended in 1949 with a series of ceasefires between Israel and its Arab neighbors, leaving the fate of the Palestinian refugees indefinitely suspended. It would be a quarter of a century before the Arab summit in Rabat recognized the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) as the "sole and legitimate representative of the Palestinian people."

The ongoing catastrophe in Gaza risks ushering in a new cycle of even more atrocious wars unless the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is resolved once and for all as part of a two-state solution.

Netanyahu himself financed Hamas and ran it himself.
Before the October 7 attack, the Israeli army was withdrawn from the Gaza Strip.
Netanyahu just wants to build the Third Temple, which means bombing the Temple complex.
How to do it?

Well I have heard this before and frankly tend to think your right about him but some things may be getting in his way-The KM has promised funds to the world for their plan and have consistently failed to deliver including last weekend. The world is bankrupt and when will we go in another direction? Last night may have been a signal that China has lost the bid to be teh new center of power-just a theory so far.

The two state solution will inevitably end up with gaza rearming with bigger badder weapons (freely imported) and result in an attack on Israel with its total destruction and death to all Israelis.
Hamas have openly stated this repeatedly and to believe that goal will not survive a 2 state solution would be very naive.

Israel are doing the only thing they can do and remove hamas. What comes next will no doubt be debated but the dream of a 2 state solution bringing peace is not realistic when one side secretly is scheming to destroy you.

The most sensible solution is to find them a new home. That's got to be better than life in broken gaza?

It is so hard to be an armchair quaterback because I suspect both sides have kept up the animosity on behalf of bigger players-left to our own devices most humans can get along. They consider this their home just as the Jewish people do-just seems crazy we can't exist side by side

Complete exodus of the whole region, blindfold benny and a Palestinian, set them free in damascus, first one to Jerusalem keeps it.

Stream it, call it the road from Damascus.

I dunno. It annoys me that they can't just get along and live side by side, or among eachother without all the bs.

With one side having an undying vow to destroy the other, it leaves the other (israel) with little choice but to manage the situation with its own survival as the most important issue.
Hamas have proven they are capable of horrendous violence so any future for gaza must limit their ability to ever mount another attack as they have vowed to until they succeed.

A 2 state solution would give them control of borders and access to the seas and trade etc. It goes without saying that certain muslim nations with a shared interest in wiping out Israel, would arm them to the teeth etc.

I honestly can't see another way forward than separating them by removing the Palestinians somewhere else in the M.E, together and with financial help to build new cities etc. Then they would have a free life away from the bs life that hamas and Israel have created over the years. Its got to be better than gaza no? That place is going to be horrible for years with life in camps etc and then it's still gaza and hamas 2.0 will just do it again in 10 yrs or so n back to rubble again....
