How’s work been this week?



I keep contemplating how each day my observation of reality changes. I’m getting old and I have no idea the true workings of nature lol. I just know God made nature, and we are to worship the Creator, not the created!

Work....I complain, but I'm a certified workaholic, and I thrive under pressure. So a busy week is a good week.

The older I get, the less I know that I know. But even before faith, I never believed we were supposed to have all the answers. Takes the mystery out of things. But I can't disagree, every year that ticks by changes your perception just a bit more until you realize that your perception can't be trusted fully. It's wholly a product of circumstance and interpretation, not necessarily objective truth.

I also do better under pressure. One example: In college when I had big essays I would make notes during the week. But if I had class at 10am. I didn’t start actually writing the essay until about 4-5 am that day lol.



The more I try to stay observant of reality and what this world is the more I realize I know almost nothing. What I do know though, that is truth. Is that Jesus is the way truth and life, he is the Lord of all creation, Alpha and Omega, beginning and end. He is the Living God. He rose again from the dead and died for our sins. I rest on nothing but the blood of Jesus Christ.

To me that’s truth to hold onto

Sometimes God seems so close to me that I can reach out and touch him. Most other time He seems like a billion years away.

First I think we have to see different perspectives:

To one person, God being close is God talking to them with a voice

To another person, God is being close by providing shelter and food

To another person, God is close because he literally saved that person

To another person, God is close when they see their blessings and have gratitude

To another person, God is close by speaking to them through others

So God being close to someone is a experience that varies for each person

There’s many times David cries out in psalms how the Lord needs to move and he cannot sense his presence. But he also says God is good and it’s his judgement. And he will move when he moves.

When we hurt, it does seem God is far from us

How can our God let us suffer

How can our God not act

Like David said. Arise oh Lord. Awaken. They come against you continually.

We are on this journey with Jesus. And he will never let us go.
