Does having an electric car produce extreme anxiety? I get near panic attacks just thinking about it.

I ran out of gas once. It was not good. I can't imagine driving an electric car thinking about the next charge. Having to wait in line for it. Having to worry about how cold it is outside. What if you are getting low on battery and stuck in traffic?

No way could I handle the stress.

That being said I don't see too many electric cars stuck on the side of the road but I really don't get out much. Is that a thing?

Electric cars are for running local errands. You plug it in and charge it at home whenever you aren’t driving it. They are NOT for road trips, you still need a real automobile for those. But, they work fine for saving gas and wear on your real car by sparing it short errand duty. Use it as intended and you will be fine.
