Is Anyone Else Disturbed By All Of These People Going Around With Blue Tooth Devices Attached To The Side Of Their Heads??

It's like we're all turning into cyborgs or something. Not only are they unsightly and a bit on the creepy side, but I just can't imagine what all of those cell phone waves are doing to people's brains. People walk around sporting these things like they are the newest "bling" or something.

Anyone else disturbed by this? And now, here in California, there is a new law that is to go into affect come July 1st. that you must use one of these if you're in your car. I understand the safety behind the law and too many people talking on their phones, but how does this do anything to combat the loss of concentration while driving and talking away on our phones??

Even if I had a cell fone...I would be polite enough not to use it a pulic place.

Someone like for explain me how this will help in California? I mean you still have to dial etc just the same...What's the difference during the convo you have one fone pressed to your skull or one bluetooth. You are still 'ON THE FONE' GRRRRR *frustration*

I hate them. People walking around and seemingly talking to themselves and ,especially in crowded places, you can't even understand if the asshole is talking to you or someone else.

I work in retail. A month ago, a coworker of mine was stocking shelves when a lady came around the corner screeching "EXCUSE ME? EXCUSE ME?" My coworker got up and faced the woman to ask how he could help her. She screeched at him, "I WASN'T TALKING TO YOU." She was talking on a bluetooth headset. She then proceeded to tell the person on the phone that some stupid employee thought she was talking to him and started laughing hysterically. My coworker just smiled and continued stocking. The lady started wailing again with the 'excuse me'. My coworker had finished stocking and walked back to the storeroom.

This lady marched up to the front of the store and complained to the manager that his employee ignored her completely and refused to help her. Luckily, there were other customers in the store that saw what actually happened and told the manager what they saw. In the end, it didn't matter. My coworker still got reprimanded, because we're still supposed to be aware of every circumstance and blah blah fuckinshit blah.

The point is, it's not always about getting in someone else's personal business. It's not always about thinking someone is just talking to themselves. Seriously. You can't be off the phone for the relatively few minutes it takes to do some shopping? REALLY?

BTW, that coworker doesn't work there anymore, but I still keep in touch with him. He calls that lady up every once in a while from different locations to call her a bitch.

I do agree with you on why can't people stop talking on the phone while asking a question or ordering food. My bank has a sign that says we have the right to serve the next person if you are on a cell phone.

The woman gave her name... actually announced it loudly to anyone that was there. In her pompous self-important way, she made sure everyone around knew she was the most important person in the world.

She's listed in the phone book. Not her cell, her home phone.

Yes, he could have asked if she was talking to him or the person on the phone, but if you'd read the post, you'd know that had been tried and he was ridiculed by her for it.

The woman comes in fairly often. I don't wait on her. When she needs help, I politely tell her I'll get the manager to help her. Mr. Manager wants to write someone up for something like that, even when he's got other customers telling him what really took place, he can deal with the cunt.
