Possibility #1 - technology controls the ship's power, so it may have been purposefully turned off by adversaries to make the crew helpless.

A much more logical dissection:

The ship lost power to one screw causing it to veer toward the bridge. The power was restored a few times before the captain threw the engine to reverse.. The smoke is from the engine running in full reverse.

Could it have been electronic warfare? Maybe, but very unlikely given the video evidence. A more likely scenario would have been good old sabotage on the boat from a crew member, and that would require at least one or more people as spotters.

It was a single screw ship, and that would eliminate the possibility of torque steering caused by losing power to one of dual or several screws.

I'm not a forensic maritime expert, but video evidence points toward the ship being steered toward the bridge support. A single screw ship goes where it's pointed unless the bow thrusters were used.

Yeah.. the timing all points to a ship power failure accident.. (HOWEVER) no one is talking about the round (Barriers- or dolphins) that are to protect a bridge support from a barge or ship out of control.. This bridge only had 4 small tiny ones and this ship missed it by about 50 ft ..there should of been at least 12 more scattered about the bridge main tower structures and that ship would of hit them.. The ship would of sunk probably as they ripped its hull apart but it would of not hit that bridge

There is more to this beneath the surface than what we are being brainwashed into believing by the MSM.
