4th of July? We need heroes now more than ever! | |

Look around you. Sometimes just getting out of bed and putting one foot in front of the other, going to work and supporting a family is being a hero. There are people in every community that volunteer to help in any way out in any way that they can. They are heroes. There are teachers and nurses and firemen and police officers and national guardsmen and paramedics and librarians and animal rescuers and social workers who are never going to get rich doing what they do, but they do it anyway and they are heroes. There are people of all ages taking care of ill or handicapped relatives and friends and they are heroes. So we have heroes everywhere. What we need in DC is leaders with some common sense who can and do put the good of the country above their own political party, their own agendas and their own egos. That is sorely lacking. |

And should I be asking Him directly? But why should He consider my prayer? Well, I don’t quite know how to do this But Jesus, I can’t save myself So here I am calling out for mercy And crying out for Your help So if you hear me . . . I need a hero Please dare to find me Fly to my rescue And crash through the wall Announce my freedom Bring me to my senses Gather me into Your strong arms And carry me home ... to freedom (!) Many heroes go unnoticed but they are here whether we see them and recognize them or not. You, Claycat, are a hero to some! To all of our heroes - - THANK YOU! And to the greatest Hero of All, my Lord - - my heartfelt and deepest thanks. Looking forward to our rescue, won Oh happy day! |
