Number Nine Calls Ruslana Korshunova

(Conspiracy Nation, 07/02/08) -- “Number nine... Number nine,” reiterates the morbid voice on the death-laden “Revolution 9” track of the Beatles' White Album. On June 28, 2008, Number Nine called on jet-set model Ruslana Korshunova at her ninth-floor Manhattan apartment.

Numerology surrounds the suspicious death of Ms. Korshunova. She was born in 1987, the year the stock market swooned and Alan Greenspan launched the “new economy.” Her birthday was July 2, also arguably the birthday of the United States. (Background: “Safety Net Not There”, [link to www.shout.net]

Today, July 2nd, there is a new moon. It is Wednesday (Wotan's Day), dedicated to Mercury, the “Anything Can Happen Day” of the Mouseketeers. The “plunge” of Ms. Korshunova occurred in the financial district of Manhattan.

Yesterday, both the London Telegraph and the L.A. Times published stories about how the Internet was “flooded” with “conspiracy theories” regarding Ms. Korshunova's death. According to the Telegraph newspaper, “Theories blaming the Russian mafia for the model's death have swept the web.” (“Model Ruslana Korshunova's 'suicide' conspiracy theories”). The L.A. Times coincidentally reported, “Some even claim that [Korshunova] was a victim of a Russian Mafia-controlled teenage-model flesh-peddling organization.” (“Conspiracy theory: Did the Russian Mafia kill Ruslana Korshunova?”, by Elizabeth Snead).

Wow! Internet “flooded” with “conspiracy theories” saying Ruslana Korshunova was killed by the Russian mafiya! Conspiracy Nation did a google search for this “flood” of theories.

Funny thing. It turns out the supposed “flood” of theories did not exist. The “flood” of theories, it turns out, took place only in the minds of L.A. Times and London Telegraph. The google search did turn up various reiterations of the newspaper stories, but only one report (besides Conspiracy Nation reports) preceding Times/Telegraph “flood” reports was found.

“This Tuesday The Telegraph published a story apparently based on riveronmirror's version,” divulged one blog. ( [link to riveronmedia.blogspot.com]

So checking “riveronmirror” the source of the so-called “flood” was found:

“Recent buzz in the internet surrounding Kazahk model Ruslana Korshunova’s dead originating in this site has caused some controversy. Media like the british Telegraph or the LA Times (calling us the crakpot theory) have given coverage to a possible, although unlikely, conspiracy theory linked to a model-controlling-mafia.” ( [link to riveronmirror.wordpress.com]

That's it! That's “the flood”!

“Riveronmirror” then explains his (or her) theory: “We do not state conclusively that Korshonova’s dead was orchestrated by the Russian mafia, but we do believe, with reasonable evidence, that such a mafia exists, and operates as a sophisticated network that positions young femmes in the highest spheres of fashion and corporative deluxe escort services.”

The theory of Conspiracy Nation is that Ruslana Korshunova was working as a courier for the Russian FSB. Her jet-set model lifestyle was a perfect cover for delivering top-secret messages internationally. But Korshunova wanted out of “the life” -- not precisely that of fashion model but of espionage agent. This could not be allowed. She knew too much. She might begin to talk.

Hypothesized is that professional killers entered Ruslana Korshunova's apartment and immediately anesthetized her. She may even have been killed, right there, in her apartment. Some derivation of the KGB's notorious umbrella gun, delivering a deadly pellet, could have been used. A hole was cut in construction netting beneath Korshunova's balcony. She was tossed off the balcony. Witnesses saw her plunge, they did not see her jump. The killers exited the apartment and were able to do so leaving the door locked, “from the inside.”

Nothing is meant against the New York City Police Department, but Korshunova's death was way above their level. It is like when the “meter maids” investigated the strange death of Vince Foster: an agency having sophisticated knowledge of espionage techniques should have been called upon to investigate. Apparently no autopsy of Ruslana Korshunova has been performed. The body is being whisked away to Kazakhstan.
