Alaska - Coldest Summer EVER
The record speaks for itself. We could use a little warming up here.

I suppose the True Believers will attack me for dealing with reality instead of their global warming religion, but that's OK: I can handle them.

I got a fun web page from an AC here... it's a comparison of arctic ice coverage and show much greater coverage this summery than last. Check it!

Though I must admit this screwball weather's made fishing all the better. Torrential downpours are keeping the tourons off some of the rivers and if this keep up hunting season is gonna be a breeze. Got to find the positives when we're dealt this shitty hand.

I have seen a similar, natural-color image of the polar areas of Canada and the offshore environs. And thanks for the link, of which I was unaware. Worth bookmarking, it is.

And, absolutely NO shortage of ice!

Ice always melts a little or a lot in the polar summer, but this year ... not so much. Not much at all.

I much misdoubt the global warming religionists will have much to say about this additional bit of reality.

How do the GW alarmists explain the recent 0.7 C cooling of the Earth? It was linked to the current low sunspot activity.

Google it if you're skeptical.

Sorry, but GW is over. Any warming or cooling is completely dependent on the Sun, not human activity.

I think you're right. There are FAR too many defects with the entire global warming religion for me to even begin. Besides, it's all been said before, both here at GLP and elsewhere.

As to how quickly it unwinds, and how much harm will be done meanwhile, I myself cannot say. Might take a while, and the worse it gets for them, the more frantic the warming fanatics may get, so ... who knows/

Just have to see.

Do you know what happens to a glass of water that has ice cubes in it and it is in a hot room? The overall temp of the water will drop as the ice melts. Amd then gradually the water will get nice and warm after the melting phase has run it's course and the temps of the water overall is heated at he level it will maintain within it's environment (the hot room).

Cooler summers in places like alaska do not dispel global warming theory. Are you dumb?

Page down to the graph of the internal solar dynamo activity.
You will see the down shift in , I think it is late 2004 or early 2005, anyway , you can CLEARLY SEE IT...
Since then, world temps first leveled off, and now are PLUMMETING ...
NO SUNSPOTS =NO FOOD.If we do not see the sunspot cycle increase, then this winter will make last winter LOOK WARM..... If you can start a garden. DO IT...
If you can move out of the cities DO IT....
Just a week or two variation in the growing season can spell disaster.
This year has been very troubling. From the apple and fruit disaster in the pacific northwest to other brewing disasters.
WHATS ON TAP MAKES A TERRORIST ATTACK LOOK LIKE A REAL BLESSING.
Google search on Global Cooling and fruit and crop failures. Be prepared for yourselves and your families.

Using your logic ... Warmer summers in certain places do not
dispel global cooling theory.

A little warmer some places and cooler in others invalidates the term
"global"

You don't know your physics. When ice melts in water, the surrounding water temperature stays a constant 0 C (32 F) until there is no more ice to melt. That's how ice keeps drinks cold until the ice is melted. Same rule applies to boiling water. The temp stays at 100 C until the water is boiled away.

No charge for this free physics lesson.

I lived in AK for years..actually I still hold a residence in Palmer, Ak. just for the benifits for my family.

Snow in Oz and a cold AK mornin' in the summer pretty much sums up the farse of GW.

Yes, I am the same. Are you Ishi? You're from Alaska?

New Brunswick: from what I'm seeing, you and I are not alone at all. As I undestand it, the global average temperature has not risen over the last ten years, but declined slightly.

I just don't feel optimistic about the future climate. On this planet, it has ALWAYS changed.

You are right...it is very strange weather there these days.
