Check it! [link to igloo.atmos.uiuc.edu] " I have seen a similar, natural-color image of the polar areas of Canada and the offshore environs. And thanks for the link, of which I was unaware. Worth bookmarking, it is. And, absolutely NO shortage of ice! Ice always melts a little or a lot in the polar summer, but this year ... not so much. Not much at all. I much misdoubt the global warming religionists will have much to say about this additional bit of reality. |

itdincor (OP) User ID: 434253 United States 07/27/2008 06:20 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The global warming scam is coming unglued. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 193848I think you're right. There are FAR too many defects with the entire global warming religion for me to even begin. Besides, it's all been said before, both here at GLP and elsewhere. As to how quickly it unwinds, and how much harm will be done meanwhile, I myself cannot say. Might take a while, and the worse it gets for them, the more frantic the warming fanatics may get, so ... who knows/ Just have to see. |

The overall temp of the water will drop as the ice melts. Amd then gradually the water will get nice and warm after the melting phase has run it's course and the temps of the water overall is heated at he level it will maintain within it's environment (the hot room). Cooler summers in places like alaska do not dispel global warming theory. Are you dumb? |

Warmer summers in certain places do not dispel global cooling theory. A little warmer some places and cooler in others invalidates the term "global" menotdumb in Alaska |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 468929Cooler summers in places like alaska do not dispel global warming theory. Are you dumb? You don't know your physics. When ice melts in water, the surrounding water temperature stays a constant 0 C (32 F) until there is no more ice to melt. That's how ice keeps drinks cold until the ice is melted. Same rule applies to boiling water. The temp stays at 100 C until the water is boiled away. No charge for this free physics lesson. |

New Brunswick: from what I'm seeing, you and I are not alone at all. As I undestand it, the global average temperature has not risen over the last ten years, but declined slightly. I just don't feel optimistic about the future climate. On this planet, it has ALWAYS changed. |
