Everyone talks about DOOM and how everyone is fucked. Why don't you get some people together, pool your resources and buy some land? You can grow your own food, take a trade each and become self-sufficient. Then the government can't control you at all. Why don't more people do this?!

The best way to get the fed interested in you is to stand out. They very likely are aware of many if not all sizeable survival or independent living type communites, and no doubt resent their very existence. So this solution is a double edged sword. Look at what happened to the branch davidians. They were doing just what you suggested. All of the information pertaining to religious extremism and child molestation came from the government, after their cohersion of the surviving children. Their innitial responses denied all the allegations. The same happened at Ruby Ridge. At the present time the best solution is not to gain the attention of the government.

I think it was some great mind like Plato who stated that any small community is most efficient before it reaches a head count of 2000. This makes sense because politicians, lobbyists, lawyers, bankers, and shylocks have yet to take root. Up to the point of 2000, everyone has a job to do and sees their individual purpose in life.
