It's your fridge. Well to be more specific its yellow aliens living in your fridge. They are not visible in light and they are trying to control your mind.

Why you ask?

They want you to eat more food in order to culture a bacteria that can no longer be found on their home planet this bacteria grows in your small intestine.

Why you?

Because you are special.

I've heard something similar too. Like a low resonance that wakes you up in the night and you are 100% awake. I've seen lights in the sky and even videod them (on DV tape) so not sure how I digitise them.

Very odd, very strange and my Mrs doesn't hear it but did see the lights after I got her out of bed at 3.40am to confirm my sanity.

Some very weird shit happening at the moment.

Shill or goof...or BOTH?!

Thread re-opened due to popular necessity, LOL!

I discovered tonight that a single earplug mitigates the perception of the low frequency hum enough to allow sleep with some hearing acuity. Seems the frequency is related to the resonance of the human skull.

For the last couple of days, the hum has been quite loud and annoying...and I've been feeling it in the core of my brain.

My partner finally heard it last night, and she is now sleeping with earplugs finally. Makes for some hilariously misunderstood pillow talk, hence the single plug discovery tonight!

But she DID have one of the best night's sleep she's had in many months wearing them...and one of my solutions have been validated. I'm wearing mine now, actually.

Dude, I've been up all night hearing it... it's almost harmonic in nature but still sounds like a distant, constant rumble...and yes it is eerie to the point that it freaks me out... it is unique in my past life experience and really just sounds ominous... the wind stirred up a little bit ago and the sound of it intermingles with the rumble so as to make it less noticeable, more of a white noise... but if u go outside you can just barely make it out... also heavy gusting here in S.C. Also, my wife heard it and thought it was a distant train, but agreed after awhile that no train lasts that long... this, as i said is new to me so i don't know what to make of it... could be nothin, but.... damned

If it is a 60 cycle sound i would suspect it is the electromagnetic field created by ac electric current. I've heard this before and noticed it was most pronounced in specific places, in the hall and in the bedroom with my head on the headboard.

Thee is no telling really, for all i know it could be nuclear tunnel boring machines or cell phones.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1097171

Yes. its is more pronounced in certain areas, generally if the house is largely made of wood and you enter a tighter area such as a hallway the sound was certainly more noticeable.

From these observation in the past it seem apparent that certain materials increase the resonance of the mysterious humming noise.

Interesting to hear others have observed this. My partner at the time could not hear it at all.

I've been hearing similar tones for years now. I recently discovered that a neighbor has a trashy little plastic hot tub that runs all day and night. They don't apparently use it, but like most hot tubs the damned pump runs constantly to keep the water hot. It will pulsate wildly when it runs low on water, which is how I discovered they had it. I don't believe it's the only source of the hum, but it definitely contributes to it.

Because the HUM is still here, and some of us are discovering ways to mitigate our sensitivity to it...which seems to keep many from sleeping soundly...or thinking clearly.

If I don't wear my Mac's solid silicone Earplugs, I cannot have a good day. Simple as that.

I didn't start adding stuff until page sixteen, but someone copied something from earlier a few pages back that was quite pertinent to the analysis and discovery.

The HUM is real, and while there MAY be underground boring goin' on, that is not the whole story...not by a long shot!

If that were the case, then my friend who makes the one of the best AC purifiers for residential and studio use would NOT have been warned by his coffeehouse friend about the secret government research that was done at the UofC-Berkeley.

AND...all of the Tesla-technology and ELF wisdom I gleaned from my New Moon dreams four years ago would not be pertinent information. So, don't go trying to kill this thread with your misunderstanding or simple answers.

Re: What the FUCk is this HUMMing SOund
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Hum is a generic name for a series of phenomena involving a persistent and invasive low-frequency humming noise not audible to all people. Hums have been reported in various geographical locations. In some cases a source has been located. A well-known case was reported in Taos, New Mexico, and thus the Hum is sometimes called the Taos Hum. Hums have been reported all over the world, especially in Europe. A Hum on the Big Island of Hawaii, typically related to volcanic action, is heard in locations dozens of miles apart. The local Hawaiians also say the Hum is most often heard by men. The Hum is most often described as sounding somewhat like a distant idling diesel engine. Typically the Hum is difficult to detect with microphones, and its source and nature are hard to localize.

The Hum is sometimes prefixed with the name of a locality where the problem has been particularly publicized: e.g., the "Bristol Hum" or the "Taos Hum".

again now that i really analize the hum i can say same thing
is louder than ever last few weeks
mostly last few days
i am in south west texas
on the boarder of mexico
but i have heard this hum for all my life i dotn remember hearing it when i was in calif one 10 months out of my life in 1970
but all parts of texas over random peoples homes

last night i decided to go for a walk and find it.
it drove me in a circle
but i was interupted by late night ers music
so i will do it again in a few minutes as it is almost 4am and most here are asleep or not just getting up just yet
only security
i am going ot look even further into this.
i am going to aask eveyone in my town if they ever hear it.
sommetimes its lower tone but right now ti is roring as if it knows i am talking about it whoo hoo coool huh
maybe all the dead tht used to be on this historical land are all having a party and it is the bass form there get together.
i know there are ghosts and presentcs here but that normal
i dotn find this humming normal anymore.
maybe the earth is tring ot warn us of sowmtheing
but like mostly in my case i know womehting is gonna hapen and i feel it and it happens and there ya go what the hell did i have to know for happens anywyass.

Yes!!! I hear it too. I have been hearing it for several months now. I hear it in the morning and at night. Very pronounced when we are in the basement watching TV. Sometimes it is very painful to my ears. It also sounds like a diesel engine parked outside in someones driveway running constantly. I have looked outside and nothing! I am in the midwest! Re: What the FUCk is this HUMMing SOund
OK, some interesting news.

I've tried a few things, including those silicone ear plugs to soaking my head. Literally.

Positive results all around, although I'm not sure the mechanism that might explain 'why'...but it has to do with the auditory perception system.

I know I'm over-sensitive to this hum, and have other perceptual curiosities that have allowed me some infamy in my industry and with my clients. I get to play with very high-end hifi gear, because it seems I perceive enough to set the stuff up to get the most out of it.

Plus, I experiment endlessly on everything, due my Asperger's Sydrome and very busy brain.

So...back to the hum at hand. A few years ago, a shaman in Taos told me that I needed to soak in epsom salts for spiritual as well as physical reasons. I had largely forgotten this advice, until I was able to fix my new girlfriend's tub...as with MOST people, she is a showerer not a soaker (although I'm very quickly re-introducing her to this beautiful inexpensive daily 'spa vacation' treatment and meditation/prayer!).

As I prayed about this hum...first in desperation in order to just make it go away because it bugged me, which morphed into a spiritual struggle where I toyed with returning this energy to its source to bring the propogators to their senses and tug at their consciences to help them see the light...then in acquiesence to learn if it was only nefarious or if it could be turned to a 1000 times positive (which the Maker I serve just LOVES to do, apparently, with even the most negative of plans and actions), and finally for WISDOM to know more about the whole phenomena (which is probably where I should've started in the FIRST place, but desperation usually doesn't immediately appeal for inner growth!).

I was 'sent' on a series of experiments, some of which I've detailed here already. The silicone earplugs work for the worst of night-time distractions, allowing me to sleep through the night without being awoken periodically (which oddly and distubringly happened exactly on the hour, usually near three or four in the morning) AND oddly causing my ongoing sinus infection to be more tame.

THAT sinus stuff led me back to the soaking in Espom Salts...which back when I was doing it regularly, I learned how to let it fill my sinus cavity underwater and heal the raw tissue from my continual nose blowing from some infection caused by a weakened immune system. I've known for a long time that I needed to address this cause, but going through the intestinal cleanse and required dietary focus has been WAY more than I could put energy to.

Yesterday, when I finally dared to do it...the first time out above the waterline, the hum was simply GONE. I know it was still there, because I could still 'feel' the pressure...but that annoying and bothersome audible noise was simply not there, as long as there was some water still in my sinus cavity...perhaps equalizing the pressure on the eardrum or other parts of the complex and mysterious hearing sense of ours.

I checked again today, and absolutely the annoyance is GONE after soaking...although the sensitivity to the noise returns in small doses as things dry out. I believe the sinus infection, perhaps coupled with the immune system imbalance, put my head into a pressure condition which makes the hum THAT much more audibly annoying to the point of abject distraction.

I am now on an immune system restoration plan, but these things usually take weeks and this is only halfway through day one.

I will continue the Espom Salt soaks, and have the chance to sample the state of hum in San Diego over the weekend. I will be able to soak and such there and will report as anything dawns upon me.

I sincerely hope this helps some of y'all cope with this...and I need to mention that my solutions do NOT negate the probability that this hum is part of the mass mind control...since I know of MK-Ultra experiments to this effect and that even as recent as ten years ago academics bound by non-disclosure agreements with the government (due the nature of their research) were still playing with the induction of tones through the electrical grid which would be perceived by the senses beyond our most blatant five.

Cheers and more from VERY chilly and relatively snowblind Detroit...
 Quoting: Gannon

microwaves are effectively blocked by metal and absorbed by water. microwaves emitted from cell towers are causing you this problem, water is why soaking helps. after you dry out it will come back. wear a shielded cap/hat or stick aluminium on your walls and ceiling. goodluck

Hi,Op ..I haven't had time to read through all of these comments..but when I lived out in TX in 2002 or 2003? I heard a low humming..or buzzing sound..I too went around unplugging everything I could..I didn't turn off any breakers though(it was my brothers house) we were in Phlugerville,TX (outside of Austin..but very remote) I could hear it outside too..I thought it to be power lines as there were a lot of them out there.
Anyway..just thought I'd chime in because I've heard this sound before..but I'm in NC now and in a slightly more urban area and never hear anything other than the general sounds of typical living noises..lol.
However..my ears are VERY sensitive to anything high pitched..kinda the way a dog can hear a dog whistle..so I do here things like that occasionally..usually an electronic in the house..once a tv at a family members home was driving me crazy because of this high pitched sound and no one else was noticing it..but they said someone else mentioned it once..so I know I'm not crazy.lol.

Re: What the FUCk is this HUMMing SOund
The fan is another harmonic component of the chordal structure that affects the mere human perceptual machine. But it is NOT the core problem, or it would simply go away when you turn your computer off. You DO turn your computer off occasionally, doncha?! LOL!

In our household, this has reached a crisis point twice in the past ten days. Last night's episode was the worst. While I'm learning to deal with this, my partner's stress at work has been increasing...and when she is in her TV room with the old hifi I recently installed (with three subwoofers handling various portions of the etrememly low frequencies, one only for movie soundtracks)...she is attacked by the buzz caused by her old home's bad grounding (actually, the house has mostly two-prong receptacles throughout, which I'm gradually upgrading).

When I say attacked, I mean that specifically. She was reduced to a vibrating mass of jello last night, and was a sobbing mess. I know this was amplified by the effects of the Full Moon, but it was the aggregate of the AC hum, the hifi buzz, and the high-frequency squeal (probably from the cellular system).

As I said before, some gent was interviewed on NPR about his chordal analysis of office areas...showing how three frequencies could add up to seriously negatively affecting the humans stuck in that space for at least 8 hours a day. He proved that the hum of the HVAC system, the whir of the computer fans and hard-drives, and then the ringing of the phone system could create a modern version of what the Church called the Devil's Chord...someone will know what it is in music, I always forget, but it is a minor 4th or something like that...which has been PROVEN to alter the mood in every human who encounters it.

So, as I said, the hum itself is government created...and propogated through the AC system. I know this from my contacts within the hifi industry, where I was the Technical Editor of a major national magazine for a while last decade.

The Schumann Resonance is real, and necessary for human co-ordination and synchronization of our personal time bubbles or capsules...and since it is pervasive, that would always be the foundational tone of this chord.

We will find that the hum and cell tower squeal create a Devil's Chord. Of that I have little doubt. And the 60-cycle frequency of our electrical grid in NA, or the 50-cycle one in Europe, is a portion of this effect as well. I suspect those end up being filters that cap the height of our personal resonances...and I'm NOT saying they were created with this intent, I believe it was discovered later. It was merely convenient that it worked this way.

So...yeah, lotsa words again...I tend to write a bunch in the hopes of being fully understood, and the ideas in my brain are way more plentiful than I can ever communicate. Sorry for the novella...but there is substance to this, and it is WAY more complex than some simple environmental noise.

Cheers from sunny Detroit today...

Oh, and the SOLUTION to my honey's crisis last night was two-fold...remove the stimulii then go into spiritual warfare and healing. I don't CARE if anyone wants to debate that, I don't engage ignorance willingly.

First, we got out of that room, after I turned off the hifi to prove to her that it was part of the problem, which she agreed and came down a notch from her edge. I then took her upstairs to her bedroom and had her put in those silicone Mack's earplugs to cut the outside Hum energy input (which is throughout the house and even outdoors), then prayed earnestly for a while until she was able to finally get to sleep.

I felt two distinct instances where the prayer took effect, and would NOT leave her side until her severe shaking went away. It was NOT any form of medical emergency, or I would've taken her to the hospital, so none of you internet diagnosers need to add your two-cents!

IF the shaking would've gone on very long, after removing the triggers and outside energy, then I would've known it was more than I suspected, but deep down I knew I was on the right track...because I've taken the same steps to reduce MY anxiety with this Hum.

This morning she awoke with an apology, how embarrassed she was over last night's incident. My immediate reply was that she needn't be ashamed of anything...and she WASN'T going crazy. She is the 'normal' one in this relationship! LOL.

Cheers, I hope this helps someone...

Re: What the FUCk is this HUMMing SOund
In San Diego here!!! I have been up since 3 am because I couldn't sleep due to the humming noise. Tonight I decided to get to the bottom of this and googled humming noise in my ear and this is where I ended up. I've read through all of the posts here and I am definitely experiencing the same hum that you all are. Thank god I am not alone I was starting to think that I was going mad! I hear it only in my left ear. I usually hear it between the hours of 3 am-9 am but I also notice it at other times during the day as well. I'm finding it real difficult to sleep. I have been suffering from Tinnitus since I was a little kid. The sound I am hearing is surely not Tinnitus. Tinnitus is a very high pitched sound the sound I am hearing now is a very low frequency. I keep asking my wife if she hears it and she does not. They way I first started describing it to her was that it sounded like a lightsaber from the movie Star Wars off in the distance. After reading the posts here I agree with people that it also kind of sounds like a diesel engine idling from afar. Thanks to whoever put the google map up with pins. I hope everybody who is experiencing this will add a pin to the map as well so we can see if there is some sort of pattern here. It's interesting how the first 3 pins are all in California!!!!! There are no cell towers in my general area so I'm ruling that one out. I'm starting to think plate tectonics, the Schumann resonance or possible military installations in the area. I also researched the Taos hum and that completely describes what's going on with me to the T!!!!!!! I hope more people respond to this thread and keep it alive until we have our answers.

Cheers

Re: What the FUCk is this HUMMing SOund
For the past month or so I have been hearing a very low level humming sound. No one else hears it and I'm starting to wonder WTF is going on. I hear it mostly at night and early morning, because I'm guessing it's the quiet time of the day (night).

This humming is not constant, it sounds like an electric motor trying to cycle. I've turned off all the curcuits in the house so I know it's not from within the house. I can even hear it when I'm out in the woods or at the neighbors house.
It's really starting to bug me out!

And no it's not tinnitus.
