I know this is pure speculation on my part, but, FWIW, I think this will happen this fall. Released in Oct, but will take full effect in Nov., possibly.

Well I did see many different types on ebay and some are listed as chemical biological masks I assumed that these would protect. However, I am no expert on gas masks at all. Maybe you could recommend what would protect against such an attack.

As for a specific biological event...I was thinking something like the Bird Flu but what do I know I am no scientist. Sounds to me like you know much more about this subject. Would love to hear more from ya.

One thing we do know, biological warfare agents do exist, and labs exist that are stockpiled with them. So, perhaps it is foolish to assume that they would never be deployed either by accident or deliberately.

I keep a stock of vitamins, minerals, supplements and herbs on hand as well as teas, lemon juice, honey, vinegar, baking soda and other home remedies like hydrogen peroxide. Also a full pantry of groceries and a supply of cleaning products, hygiene products etc.

I think the main thing is to try to be as healthy as possible and keep your immune system tuned up and not overloaded, and be prepared to STAY HOME if you have to or want to.

The best thing about keeping a pantry is not having to go to the store when you'd rather stay home.

The particular strain will retain a specific set of characteristic regardless of what form it takes.

When the pathogen becomes airborn allowing easy trasmission, it will still retain specific characteristic that will allow for future mutations.

You have to take that mask off sometime.

The best defense is a proactive containment.

Interesting...Just wondering has there been news of any new viruses etc in the media....I mean something that we have no antibiotics for?

Another question: So what you are saying is that gas masks will help to a point?? So we should still try to have them available right?

I already got my gas mask, Cipro, duct tape, plastic, canned goods, powered milk, barrels of water and my own plastic coffin to fool them in case they come to get me.

Which of course lead into the containment of said pathogens.

The worst are the ones with long shelf lives.

When we speak of these things each needs to be study in its own frame of reference.

The reason I say that is once we have identified the specific pathogen we can deal with it in the most effective manner.

Dealing with anthrax- is a completely different subject and the delivery is actually difficult , it must be inhaled.

Gas masks are for chemical attack.Most biologicals will pass through filters.You couldn't keep your mask on long enough for the threat to pass.

most 'gas' mask will not work against biological, and the ones that do, well exactly how long do you think you can stay in one. If its as large scale as you would have us believe, do you think it will be gone in an HR, a day, a week, a month, a year? Personally I hope to be the first casualty if it is an all out nation killer or world killer, hanging on for the few years I have left would be rendered pointless on a dieing planet.

most mask, shelters, you buy on the net are very comforting if your in a bad rain storm are to keep out a smelly fart, anything else and most of them would fail.

better to take your chances building up good relationships with neighbors and family, try to make your enemies your friends, if you are lucky you will start a trend and your government will follow suit.

Yea, I see absolutely no point in this preparation hysteria. Unless it`s spiritual.

Aren't they already. I've been seeing aerially sprayed chemical attacks that cary e-coli and salmonella illnesses for at least the past several years.
