The energy surges are from the galactic center. There´s a superwave coming. It pushes cosmic dust ahead of it. That´s why for the last 100 years we had global dimming. Now things are brightening because the dust is coming in larger amounts and the dust being pushed into the sun in larger amounts makes larger solar flares.

Imagine a swimming pool and you just mowed the lawn so the pool is full of grass clippings. The grass is all over the pool. Then the ripples in the pool start pushing the grass to the edges. The grass starts to gather together because of how it´s getting pushed. If there was wave action from the middle of the pool the grass clippings would be grouped in the waves. A wave of grass, a calm, another wave of grass, another calm, etc.

That´s what´s happening.
