So...does the draft STILL seem unrealistic????
All it will take will be for the US to get involved with the Georgia/Russia war and for Israel to attack Iran.

Doesn't seem so impossible to consider now.

I say it's very realistic. I'm leaving the country if that happens. Going somewhere in the Caribbean!

the amount of time it would take to instigate and implement the draft, and the potential scenario we are looking at here, makes a draft HIGHLY unlikely.

you can always draft the cockroaches left behind though, I suppose.

we are talking the USA v Russia here. On RUSSIA'S doorstep.

no, a conventional war is NOT on the cards imho.

There are two pools of cannon fodder that will be used before a draft. Foreigners, willing to fight in order to become citizens. And criminals -- willing to serve, in order to avoid jail time.

So far as I understand, we have been doing the former for quite some time. When the latter comes, get ready for the draft.

From what I understand it's in a bill that was submitted to congress recently.

Does anyone here have that link still?

A draft right now is the NWO's worst nightmare. Something like that would finally wake the sheeple up. Hence this draft bill. It's a ploy by anti-war democrats. IT WILL NEVER PASS. The only way that a draft passes is if the NWO has lost control of the situation. Not likely.

I don't know, I think this situation right now can quickly get out of their hands!

We tell Israel to stand down in it's plans to attack Iran and the same time this new war starts up? Now we're sending troops over to Georgia for "humanitarian' reasons?
If Israel takes a lesson from Russia and ignores our requests, then we are screwed. We don't HAVE enough support/enlisted troops right now to send to Iran, Georgia, and still protect our interests in the other parts of the globe. PLUS an aggressive action on our part against Russia would most likely get China involved and then what do we have....

a need for more troops!

Universal National Service Act of 2003
The Universal National Service Act of 2003 (H.R. 163, S. 89) was a bill to resume the military draft in the United States, introduced in the 2003 session of the United States House of Representatives. The bill would have provided that, as early as June 2005, young men and women ages 18-26 could be called to service.

To really be in front of this Sireen, They will notify by mail.

When the cards start showing up....somebody has to print them.

Wonder if an order for those cards is in the works?

The draft is a swell idea. There are millions of American hooligans hanging around on street corners not doing the work that Americans won't do.

A little combat would be good for them...a character builder. Americans love a good fight.

We should all give thanks to Israel for providing America with combat opportunities for its indolent youth.

Yeah, you gotta watch our for those 40 year old hooligans. Especially those dowager women.
Heart of the heroes, ride.
Up through an empty house of stars,
Being what heart you are,
Up the inhuman steeps of space
As on a staircase go in grace,
Carrying the firelight on your face
Beyond the loneliest star.

Of course I agree. But throughout history the rich have always 'bought' their way out of war. Unless they want to go, they don't.

McCain's son is a marine in Iraq, btw.

Frighteningly so, Sireen, many of our children have no idea what is in store...I am past current draft age myself but if they reinstate or increase the draft age people like me likely may get caught in the net.
