dude armies never just pull out. they create a buffer zone by going in deeper then when they do give that back it looks like they are conceding a bit and being diplomatic.

More troops were quoted as coming in from Russia to back up current forces.

he reporter said "Large numbers of Russian forces are massing and fortifying near the port city of Poti."

also said "Advancing towards the capitol T'bilisi and is now only 29km away."

Those are actual quotes from CNN reporter in Georgia.

Depends on when this reporter saw that.. they could be retreating now.. we'll know soon nuff.

He said they were 'digging' in and fortifying. Much different then packing up.

The Georgian gov't, aka Saakashvili, apparently refuses to sign the 6-point peace accord drawn up by the Russians, so Russia is pushing forward. The US should encourage the Georgians to sign that deal. It is not unreasonable. Once the deal is signed, the US can have Georgia.
