What do YOU see? (neural discharges)
Ever since I was a child, whenever I go to bed I have seen the same two colors: orange and blue.

Basically what I see is what appears to be orange fluffy-looking cloud things on top of a blue sparkling background. The orange cloud thingies morph and move around and combine and evaporate randomly.

Usually it has to be very dark with my eyes closed for me to see the orange and blue, but sometimes when my eyes are open I can see it as a "transparent overlay" to what I actually see with my open eyes. For example, I could be looking at a chair or table or wall or something, and the orange and blue is visible over everything that I am looking at.

Oh yeah, also when it is dark enough and the orange and blue are vivid so that the colors/shapes become nearly 100% opaque I can see strange symbols on the edges of the orange fluffy things. Yeah, I know. Weird.

I was just wondering, what kinds of colors and shapes do you all see? I have read that they are just neural discharges from the brain, but who knows!

Neural dischages are what has been termed and phtotgraphed as the soul leaving the body. We are electrical, with varying voltages to boot. We leave our electrical energy behind, not our souls.

Anybody else have the experience of routinely making street lights go out? I'm talking over two years, same light.

These were low traffic late-night spots.

Just wanted to add that Reiki produces surges of energy which often bring symbols to the practitioner while eyes are closed.

On a personal note, when i close my eyes i sometimes can see a torus or donut shaped ring which starts out yellow but gradually fades. Sometimes i can see it still right after opening my eyes, but again it fades away.

Oh...

Well ironic that you mention the street light thing. A friend, my brother and I all decided to go walking out at at night one time, and we were just talking and walking through the neighborhood and about 10 minutes into our walk I stopped a streetlight and put my hand up towards it with an open palm, and it turned off RIGHT when I did that. I immediately freaked out (I just wasn't prepared for that... lol)... I was going "OH MY GOD!! OH MY GOD!" My friend was laughing and my brother was kinda paralyzed. Just really weird!
Even stranger, when we started walking back home, my friend turned around suddenly and looked at the street light that went off, and then said, "Ready?? It's going to turn back on in 3....2....1... NOW!" and right when he said "NOW!" the street light came back on. I started thinking that maybe we had a spirit or ghost following us around or something haha...

Try this. Lay flat on your back, no noise or light. Place your hands on your upper thighs. Breathe deeply and concentrate on your body and just relax. Try to blank your mind, which is really tough to do. Give it about 20-30 minutes (time will be non-existent).

Eventually, your hands will feel like they are melding with your thighs. You will not know where your physical space merges or ends. You will feel a soaring sensation, and then will see the light. You will not be able to block it out. If you can get to that point, you will understand that we are not smoking anything, it actually interferes with the process.

Just before I go to sleep, I see what looks like clips from many different, movies. They are not actual movie clips, but scense that last from 2 to 5 seconds. They are very clear, have lots of detail, and have absolutely nothing to do with my life. Sometimes it's entertaining.

That is your mind replaying your day, or week, and filing it. Once that passes, you can feel it. Admittedly, I've had a hard time recently getting past the personal snippets.

Have you ever "slept on it" and had clarity the next day? That is not only your brain filing away your experiences, but associating them with your other ones.

Ever have that epiphany in the am while you were in the bathroom? Or at least figured out what's on the agenda for the day. It's the brain waking up. Firing. The electricity.

It is your collective or individual energy. I live in a box classroom from the early 1900s (built 1882) and had to make peace with the imps who live here. Once I did, I love their energy!

Ok, so once I was walking with a friend in a park in SW Oregon. We were on mushrooms, this was about 20 years ago (after the 1st streetlight incident). I noticed that a light kept going out and coming back on.

We had our backs to it, so I said to her "watch, I'm going to turn around and that light will go out". She did not believe me, so I turned around, and it went out. She flipped. I guess that makes three. But I would feel improper about counting that one since it was only once.

My fave was the most recent, 2 years of passing by after poker night. It was torn down to film the movie "the time machine" something like 7 years ago. Ironically, I'm surrounded by streetlights right now and I wish the bullet glance worked on them.

Alas...I sleep at night by daylight.

Re: What do YOU see? (neural discharges)
I see a reddish-orange background, with green and blue geometric shapes that float around, slowly spin, upside down and back again ..... mostly triangles, some squares, circles, rectangles. If I've been stressed it looked more like a checkerboard, but same colors. This has been my whole life.
