People with attached ear lobes are harder to hold onto when they are giving you head.

Just saying.

Very interesting thread. Mine are attached and I am left handed as well. My son on the other hand, has one attached (from me) and one detached (like his Dad).

Re: Attached earlobes?
Mine are attached as well. I have also had an artistic gift since I was a child, and I also make my OWN art. I know what you mean when you say gift. But its hard to pin point. But most people like me very much and also show me great respect, even people much older than me (iam 24). Im very philosophic, social, antroposophic. Though I havent studied any of this at all.
Iam also left handed, and if I may say so I according to others look very good. I dont mean to brag or anything.

Anyhow, take care all.
Interresting reading.

Re: Attached earlobes?
Funny, as I was thinking of a user name I typed in my initials. ALF. I was reading this book by Paulo Coelho as well and stumbled across the earlobe thing. I didn't know what attached earlobes were at first but I have them! They don't seem to small though, but they aren't big. I don't know much about the gift of gab. I am creative, I love to act. I have dreams with my eyes open. I am an my room and all of a sudden my eyes will open and I see people. A little girl in the corner, a big man at the foot of my bed. A boys face in my window, strings across my room like in the movie Parent Tap, and once at the foot of my bed I saw two people having sex wrapped in saran wrap( the kind you get at the grocery store). These things go away when I turn on the lights or my parents come downstairs. They are always scary. My mom had the exact same thing happen, thats why she slept with knives under her bed for so long. They dreams have stopped recently because I have chosen not to be scared and have adopted an imaginary friend called Emilly. I thought she was a ghost living in my room, but can never be certain if its just my imagination. Once at a cabin I woke up in the middle of the night to discover the window glowing green. I got scared and hid under the covers. The next morning I discovered it wasn't a window but a door leading out of the wall to the outside, but we were on the second floor. The house had wholes in the walls with stained glass in patterns and when it was sunny the light would shine though casting patterns and rays throughout the house.

The Paulo book is "Brida". I'm reading it now and googled the ear lobe thing! All of his books are good, and all are written so well, that I question whether a lot of them are based in fact or not.. and end up on google.

Re: Attached earlobes?
The only scientific research has been done by myself. The end of the ear, where the earlobe ends, if it is detached and long, you will have a looooong life. My Grandmother live to be 103, she had long lobes, my Mother 90 also has long lobes. I understand that if you have a crease in your lobe, you have heart trouble. Look at old people and notice how long their lobes are. For what it is worth...

Re: Attached earlobes?
Mine are what you call "attached." I've never heard it put that way before, my family always referred to me as the "no-lober" since I don't have a distinguishable lobe that hangs down and accentuates the earrings. Of course that was just one term they used to describe me, others were the intuit, the empath, the artist (which is actually my source of income right now) and the wordsmith (which my Mother always said was greatest gift and should have been my career). Not sure if any of those "gifts" are related to the "no-lobe" syndrome. I'd be interested to hear what others had to say - or have heard.

Re: Attached earlobes?
Like what? I have attached earlobes.

Let's see. You go first.

....... okay, but i hope others chime in too and tell us their stories as well. i'm doing this in hopes to learn more. i'm just going to list some things that may or may not have any significance.

i was born with a very high artistic and creative talent. i have no schooling for this, it comes naturally. i don't follow the same guidelines as most artists do. something inside of me, ever since i was a child, always told me to not do what others do and to create freely. there are times when it feels as if i am being "guided" by something else when i create things like this: [link to img524.imageshack.us]
i am either being guided or i have tapped into something else that we are physically unaware of. i really cant even explain it in words correctly.

i sometimes "know" things, but like i said, i have no idea HOW i know them. its actually more frustrating than it sounds.

my physical facial structure has feminine features. long eye lashes, lips, etc. the ladies love it, but all too much people mistake me for being queer. must be the eyes. my eyes are sky/ice blue, i have dark brown hair. i'm male.
i'm listing these physical things because i am having trouble connecting all of this into something that makes sense. what do physical traits have to do with anything is my question. i really don't know, but why has the earlobe info always been implanted in my brain?

i have seen ufo's up close and have had multiple sightings. i have always had an interest in extra terrestrial life since i was a child. i was thinking we "came from" aliens before i knew anything.

i have always tried to get along with everyone. i love everyone. as a teenager and through my twenties i could not understand why people have so much hate in them. i have always tried to bring in positive energy. this sometimes upsets people.
my girlfriend can think of a number in her head and i will guess it 85% of the time.

thats it for now.
 Quoting: Secret 4444 Power Cat

Nice work (you sound alot like me, though I never had a sighting or anything....I was practically born contemplating the universe, the idea of space and life out there, and the dead sea scrolls....my girlhood sleepovers were all about this sort of thing - not the norm at all), my website is being reconstructed right now or I'd post an example of my work as well. I'll try to later on but mother nature has been very tumultuous here today and that has had me laid out with horrible vertigo all day, can barely type - sorry.

my earlobes are attached and very small, almost as though i have no earlobes, and i'm relating to a lot of the descriptions. it may be strange, but the first thing i look at on a person are earlobes.

Re: Attached earlobes?
Mine are attached. Funny that I always did see that as a sign of being different-- why, I don't know. I also have double cracks where my arm bends at the elbow.

Glad to find some others like me. Pierced earrings never worked out that well for me. One hole ripped out almost immediately.

I am creative in my own unteachable way.

Mine are attached.

I'm also creative (always have been), and am introverted, if not a bit antisocial. I'm perfectly content to be a homebody, as long as I've got my arts and crafts to entertain me. I'm hard to get to know, don't talk much, and avoid large groups of people. I have few friends, but the ones I do have, I'm very close to. I'm more comfortable around animals than I am people. I'm not comfortable around children or infants at all.

I don't usually care what people think of me, nor do I try to keep up with the latest fashions (etc.). I'm a perfectionist, and have higher standards for myself than I do for others. I'm also passionate, and would give the shirt off my back if a close friend or loved one needs it. I hate -- HATE -- talking on the phone, but I visit chat boards on the internet for several hours a day.

Dunno if that's got anything to do with my earlobes, though! LOL! hf

I'm not Jewish - so if that's what you were implying you failed. I actually have no real religion, but alot of spirituality and what feels like deep knowledge that I was born with and am still struggling to find the words to explain. From where I sit, every religion got something right, and a lot wrong.

Free earlobes are a dominant trait, while lobes attached are recessive.

Mine are free, and I am the artist of the family.
My sibling's are attached, and he is far from artistic.
