"The recently completed MURG study shows that those with recessive attached earlobes are twice as likely than their free-lobed counterparts to commit acts of anti-social, sociopathic, or criminal behavior. Based on its findings, MURG has proposed that the attached lobe (AL) population be registered in a national database and monitored by the Department of Homeland Security."

After a bit of research it sounds like 1/4 of the population has attached earlobes. I also tried to find out something about the 'made up research group' which posted the results and couldn't find much so I guess we don't need to take it too seriously.

What is funny is that I just found a poll about how people feel about the aesthetics of attached vs. unattached. The results? If you have unattached you prefer unattached. If attached you prefer attached.

Glad to find some others like me. Pierced earrings never worked out that well for me. One hole ripped out almost immediately.

Re: Attached earlobes?
The only scientific research has been done by myself. The end of the ear, where the earlobe ends, if it is detached and long, you will have a looooong life. My Grandmother live to be 103, she had long lobes, my Mother 90 also has long lobes. I understand that if you have a crease in your lobe, you have heart trouble. Look at old people and notice how long their lobes are. For what it is worth...

Mine are attached.

I'm also creative (always have been), and am introverted, if not a bit antisocial. I'm perfectly content to be a homebody, as long as I've got my arts and crafts to entertain me. I'm hard to get to know, don't talk much, and avoid large groups of people. I have few friends, but the ones I do have, I'm very close to. I'm more comfortable around animals than I am people. I'm not comfortable around children or infants at all.

I don't usually care what people think of me, nor do I try to keep up with the latest fashions (etc.). I'm a perfectionist, and have higher standards for myself than I do for others. I'm also passionate, and would give the shirt off my back if a close friend or loved one needs it. I hate -- HATE -- talking on the phone, but I visit chat boards on the internet for several hours a day.

Dunno if that's got anything to do with my earlobes, though! LOL! hf

Re: Attached earlobes?
i was born with a very high artistic and creative talent. i have no schooling for this, it comes naturally. i don't follow the same guidelines as most artists do. something inside of me, ever since i was a child, always told me to not do what others do and to create freely. there are times when it feels as if i am being "guided" by something else when i create things like this: [link to img524.imageshack.us]
i am either being guided or i have tapped into something else that we are physically unaware of. i really cant even explain it in words correctly.

i sometimes "know" things, but like i said, i have no idea HOW i know them. its actually more frustrating than it sounds.

i have seen ufo's up close and have had multiple sightings. i have always had an interest in extra terrestrial life since i was a child. i was thinking we "came from" aliens before i knew anything.

my girlfriend can think of a number in her head and i will guess it 85% of the time.

thats it for now.
 Quoting: Secret 4444 Power Cat

I also have small attached earlobes. I have read Paulo Coehlo's Book where he states that a young girls gift was identified because she had attached earlobes, Brida I believe it was, or Witch of Portabello...I'm pretty sure it was Brida. Anyway, much to my suprise I looked in the mirror and I really do have tiny attached earlobes.
There are some striking similarities in the stories on this thread.
I Am musically very talented, I play lots of Instruments, drum, piano, guitar...
[link to www.myspace.com]
When I was little I had this Phase where I was absolutely terrified of Aliens...I knew that they were coming to abduct me...And I cant remember what caused me to be so afraid. I have also had many, many, random moments of deep insight. There are times when I know things but I cant remember How I learned them. I swear there was a 3 hour period in high school that I lived twice, kind of like the movie "groundhog day". I was telling everyone what was going to happen next...that was amazing.
But anyway, I'm sure there are alot of people with Unattached earlobes with similar characteristics.

Re: Attached earlobes?
i was recently informed by a beautiful young wiccan girl that i had quote end quote" genius ears." I have never heard of this, but have noticed that i have very, very small attached ear lobes. She couldnt tell me much more then that, just that she had remember her dads friend who was a doctor talking about how people with this trait have some special gifts, as well as most left handed people. I have both of those traits, and share alot in common with some of the other people who have posted. I have always had it pointed out to me that i am very unique and talented, the easiest way for me to describe my thinking is "outside the box" , and i can feel other peoples emotions as cleary as my own when they are near me. I also DEFINITLEY have the gift of gab, and have been involved in a fair share of criminal activity throughout life. One more funny thing is that she also liked to call them alien ears, and I can TOTALLY relate to that statement someone said about "always knowing that we came from aliens ever since a child." hahaha . Who knows- there's defenitley geniuses out there with "normal" lobes too.....
