3 reasons; Politics, religion, and industry
To help mankind live in peace, God gave the 10 Commandments.
The FIRST is don't put other gods (law makers) before me... don't make graven images of them, don't bow down and serve them. In Revelation this is "recieving the mark of the wild beast" Rv.19.20 Doing so gives kings authority to make weapons of mass destruction, while children starve.
The SECOND is man made religion, "Babylon the Great Harlot", which "lives in shaneless luxury", from selling her believers what ever they'll pay to hear. She also "rides on the back of the wild beast", meaning her profits are tax free in exchange for blessing the king's wars. See her judgment at Rv.ch.18.
The THIRD reason is industry. Since Adam forfeited our scientific education, we have not figured out how to live in equilibrium with the ecosystem and are ruining it, to bad we're wasting trillions of dollars annually on weapons to torch it, instead of global warming resreach to save it.
Basically, wer're reaping what we sow, in a stat of global treason against the divine laws of universal love.
