Here are three phenomenon that 'may' help explain it: Mountain shadows: [link to www.atoptics.co.uk] Cloud shadows: [link to www.atoptics.co.uk] Anti-crepuscular rays: [link to www.atoptics.co.uk] Kletos, Eklektos & Pistos |

Quoting: czygynyHere are three phenomenon that 'may' help explain it: Mountain shadows: [link to www.atoptics.co.uk] Cloud shadows: [link to www.atoptics.co.uk] Anti-crepuscular rays: [link to www.atoptics.co.uk] Glad you added inverted commas because none of them do. Mountain shadows: The edges would have been at an low angle to the ground, not vertical, as depicted in the artist's rendition. Cloud shadows: Clouds at the edges would still be visible (if dark) inside the sharp edge of the shadow. Anti-crepuscular rays Clouds don't simply vanish at the edges of such rays, which are shafts of sunlight. |

Most things can be identified by careful research, but some will continue to elude understanding. I always try to fit phenomena into a known category first, then when that is exhausted, throw up my hands and say, ‘WOW!’ Kletos, Eklektos & Pistos |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 494576 United States 08/31/2008 12:34 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I saw whirlpools frequently while in Florida. It seems to me it could just have been a natural occurrence. The weather is manipulated, I have no doubt of that, after all when the sky is filled with vapor from jets that is not a natural occurance. i have also seen holes in clouds on the days the jets were flying and no they are not normal everyday commercial flights as the debunkers will tell you. |
