Millions of high school and college biology textbooks imply that Stanley Miller, in the 1950's, showed that life could arise by chance. Nothing could be further from the truth. My understanding is that 99% of life on this planet has left turning amino acids but some like the rubber plant have right turning ones. [ link to flowersbymaderaflowershop.com] I once heard a projection of what life chemistry would be like if it was composed of right turning aminos. Methane breathers with acidic blood. The few examples we have of this kind of life here have managed to adapt to this environment which would otherwise be toxic to this life if it was from a planet where it is in the majority. For those of you who are familiar with Tesla Purple Plates know that they can be used to help plants grow and flourish and extend the life of veggies in the fridge. However these plates will sicken a rubber plant.
