it is amazing to me that this type of treatment is allowed to go on. I am almost afraid to send a letter or publicaly state anything negitive about the Govonor in fear of the retribution that may come down from her. Will I loose my insurance license as Walt lost his job for standing up for what is right and just. This is not what or laws were founded on.

Corruption

Heard John Glass was fired, rehired, and has now quit along with both Colonels. This is all disgusting! As President Regan once said, Government is the second oldest profession, but it often resembles the first. Sure glad these things are coming to light, but folks don’t think for one minute corruption in ANY level of government is something new.

This Whole Thing Stinks...

To be honest I feel a bit the fool today. I have been a huge supporter of Palin and have even argued here at this blog in support of her but I have been watching this whole thing and something really stinks. It smells bad. I am not sure what the truth is but if the governor is abusing her office I will not stand for it and I will not support her. There are always 2 sides to every story but it is the governor's own fault for this perception due to the way she fired Commissioner Monegan. I think she owes us an answer and I think we need to watch things very closely. Perhaps she thought we were so smitten with her that we would never question her? I will always question my leaders if they cross an integrity line. No one will ride for free. I'm a pretty loyal guy but I demand things to be fair.

You are a credit to Alaskan journalism/ blogdom. This is an utter violation of the PUBLIC TRUST--typical Republican Motis Operendi. Other than the fact that A)Monegan should be reinstated/compensated; B)Palin should be held accountable, especially for violating State Records policy; C)Chuck Kopp must NOT be the Commissioner of Public Safety--he is not qualified (among other things); Kenai/ Soldotna has one of THE worst underground adolescent drug/alcohol, domestic violence and public official corruption scourges in the State--on the surface the Twin Cities looks "All American" and that is the way the KPD and SPD want it... but just beneath the surface... just next door... maybe Bill McAllister will do an in-depth, investigative story on this! Oh! Forgot! He's on the Palin bandwagon even though he's being paid by KTUU. There will be no Channel 2 story!
