Nope. A "Blue Star Pin" had a red border all the way around. Palin's pin has a blue strip on the top and the bottom with the Star of Israel in the middle.

It looks to me like the flag that us military families fly when someone is deployed. The blue star flag. Her son and nephew are deploying.

I don't understand why it matters if someone has an extra flag or even collects all of them? I see that everyone is so afraid of each other that you have to waive a piece of cloth to care about humans. WHY? If someone gave you a flag from another country you wouldn't keep it?
